This restaurant is located in a very nice spot along the water in old town Gaeta. You will probably smell it before you can see it.
There are a couple tables directly outside the restaurant, a couple tables around the corner from the restaurant outside, and a couple tables inside around the corner after that. The inside seating is not great and does not have a lot of airflow but the outdoor seating is great.
The menu itself is a lot of fried food as the name would suggest. The fried food isn't very greasy though, it's light and a very nice appetizer. I had calamari and the zucchini flower. The calamari was pricey even for the area at 10€ and did not come with a lot. The zucchini flower was good and fun to try because we haven't had it before. They also had a small chalkboard with a daily special which we tried, linguini with clams and we also got fried pizza. The fried pizza was just ricotta and salami, no tomato. The outside was perfectly crispy but I think it needed something else inside like tomato. The linguini was great, there were a lot of clams and the pasta and olive oil were delicious.
I probably wouldn't come here again for a meal, only appetizers. Better for lunch than for dinner. read more
