Ask the Community - Mardi Gras Bonanza

Can I order a boa online to be delivered?

I was there yesterday and they appeared to be shipping stuff out.

Today was my second time walking in here. First time was last minute for my daughters first…read morebirthday to get balloons blown up. Everyone was nice & respectful & delivered what I asked. Today I went in looking for a my daughters 2nd birthday party decorations (trying to plan it out). I'm looking to do a monsters inc/monsters university "boo is 2" theme. They did not have anything monsters. I tried to ask the staff about possibly ordering what I'd like to the store, pick up & pay later. But the staff informed me I'd have to do online, pay & shipped to home. One staff member says I'd have better luck with Amazon. As much as I love Amazon, I don't like ordering everything online, I like buying in person all at once & return as I don't need instead of holding on to things to ship back. On a side note, they still had Mardi Gras stuff & St. Patty's day stuff which I definitely enjoyed looking at lol but I also noticed the Halloween stuff was patchy not much to choose from (mostly just kids) tho this isn't just a party store... It seemed to me that everyone orders online these days so it seemed a little empty & "ehhhh" didn't feel super excited walking in.

How does one actually get a person to answer the phone. They have a voicemail system. But, no one…read morecalls you back. I ordered balloons and party supplies to be delivered at a friend's home. Delivery was accepted. I was charged. But, I received an email the day of delivery stating that the bulk of my items were no longer available. They were going to charge me to deliver napkins and plates. Everything else, especially the balloons were not coming. I tried to contact them to no avail. The napkins and plates never even arrived. What a joke. Thanks for charging me for nothing. Winn Dixie saved the day with the balloons. You should not offer delivery if you can't manage your inventory or actually deliver. I even tipped ahead. Screw you!!!!

Mardi Gras Zone is probably my favorite place to buy food in the city…read more They have beet kimchi!!! Anything that you're looking for as far as health food they have There's so much to choose from I discovered Pam's lemon shortbread gluten-free cookies at the store and I ate a whole box once I couldn't get enough of their chicken salad from the deli A box gluten-free crackers, the chicken salad, and a couple of those cookies with a glass of unsweetened tea is one of my favorite meals! I have not been upstairs yet, I have heard wonderful things Will update when I do! Little local gem

Seemingly Racist Establishment that will target people of color …read more.... During the first week of January, my lifelong friend visited Plush Appeal to purchase Mardi Gras decor for her out of state home. We are natives of New Orleans and were raised with the proper etiquette and respect for ourselves, others and community. We are proud graduates of an affluent Catholic high school and our class of women has made quite a positive impact in this world collectively. With that said, as my friend was shopping she interacted with one of the sales associates and had a lovely conversation. This particular sales associate then left the area. Within minutes two other sales associates approached my friend, accused her of stealing, and when my friend attempted to clear her name and prove her innocence, these women refused. They stated she was on camera and despite my friend asking multiple times for proof and to view the cameras, she was again refused her request. Apparently, two large men were then instructed to escort her out to which she stated she felt extremely uncomfortable. Several of her friends have reached out to the store. Ms. Vee was so nice! CeeCee though ... the manager... when I called to ask for clarification she became nasty and hung up. Long story short, nothing was stolen. If that were the case why not call the police or show the video? Most importantly to note are the differences in skin tones. My friend is an upper class African American female who was seemingly targeted for the color of her skin. Take your business elsewhere!
