The two puppies who were affected ingested the formula on or about 8/11/25 and I wasn't notified about the recall until April of 2026. I was refunded for the price of the formula. The rep didn't want to discuss the affected puppies. Shame on you Dr Marty Greer for associating with a company who wants to sweep this incident under the rug. It shows where your priorities are. I decided to adopt him the next morning if I could get the required health certificate needed for her to fly in cargo later that day (too large to fly in cabin). I called the minute they opened and asked to be squeezed in that morning. A health certificate and a very quick check up (basically, listening to heart) takes 10-15 minutes. It's a simple form, quick exam. The dog was young, healthy, had all shots. Their "caring, compassionate team," as stated on their website, refused to help. This was life or death for a sweet, young dog, who had received no adoption prospects for months. Thanks Siouxland Animal Hospital! Saving a dog's life, obviously, would have been too big of an inconvenience and might have cut into your lunch.
