I called the minute they opened and asked to be squeezed in that morning. A health certificate and a very quick check up (basically, listening to heart) takes 10-15 minutes. It's a simple form, quick exam. The dog was young, healthy, had all shots. Their "caring, compassionate team," as stated on their website, refused to help. This was life or death for a sweet, young dog, who had received no adoption prospects for months. Thanks Siouxland Animal Hospital! Saving a dog's life, obviously, would have been too big of an inconvenience and might have cut into your lunch.
