Whenever I bring my dog Sofia in for a short weekend stay or a long 1-2 weeks stay, she always comes back happy & healthy. Willow Run has a daily walk & play schedule for all dogs (and cats) that stay with them, so the animals aren't kenneled for extensive periods of time. Also, the owner, Shawn has two young girls of her own, so the guests are always active! I appreciate the convenience of Tail Trends being onsite as well. The two businesses share the same building. My dog can stay for the week at Willow Lodge when I'm out of town & come back home groomed, looking like her mischievous self again! The price is reasonable. I pay $16 a day for my smaller dog. It may be a little more for bigger dogs, but I'm not sure. I took a tour and asked a lot of questions before my dog stayed there initially & they were very open to that. After trying out a different daycare we took him to Doggy Den. The staff were great and wonk seemed to enjoy his time there. Coming home exhausted after a long day of playing with other pups. Now that we have had our dog for a little over 3 months, we don't feel Jill was entirely honest with us. I reached out to her with my concerns, particularly about the health of our dog, and she has stopped responding. Our vet found dental calculus and gingivitis. She also found gingival recessions and periodontal disease on several teeth. This will cost us well over $1,000 to treat and it's definitely not a health issue that arises quickly. His oral hygiene was not adequately cared for. We continue to work with our dog on socialization, but he does not understand how to play with other dogs- only how to breed with them and he is very fearful of strangers. I would not recommend Poodles 2 Doodles to anyone after our experience.

Of course I had to give them a try! First I brought in my long-haired chihuahua and told them to shave him down. He looked great! He did have a bad rash on his butt from caked-on mud and poo. He healed quickly tho. Then I brought in my standard yorkie and asked for him to be shaved down. (It's hot in the summer!) They did and I forgot how skinny he looked underneath all that hair! It's $50 because I asked for a bath, nails, and a cut. Totally worth it. They even put an adorable bandanna on your pup when they're done. I love that I can drop off my dog(s) super early in the morning. (Like, 6:45am) It helps with my schedule. It's a cute little place tucked back on a dirt road and tons of trees.
