I have 9 year old male bullmastiff that I got from K&R Bullmastiffs kennel. I went to their ranch to pick my puppy up and observed happy, healthy dogs with huge, clean, fenced in exercise areas. NOT a puppy mill. I was able to meet both the dam and sire, pet them and observe their disposition and confirmation. The dogs and puppies were well socialized and it was beyond evident that they were used to being handled. My puppy turned out to be a HUGE bullmastiff. Despite being bigger than average, he's been a sound, healthy and wonderful pet. He has not had any serious health issues and at 9 years of age continues to be active. His temperament is correct for the breed; loving and protective without being overly aggressive. I would like to inform anyone looking for a Bullmastiff puppy not to do business with this person, Kristina Erickson, K&R Bullmastiffs in Alcestis South Dakota. Her line of dogs have a severe case of hip dysplasia. My dog was diagnosed at 10 months. She has had a 7500.00 hip replacement. Kristina was told about it, denied it and had no compassion about it whatsoever. I even sent her the medical results from the OFA upon her request and she still denied it. Nothing more than a puppy mill. Very sad. read more
