My experience with MEEB and emotional attorney Seth Barnett was extremely negative. In my opinion, the handling of the case reflected aggressive legal gamesmanship, poor judgment, and a lack of concern for the real human impact litigation has on homeowners.
This was not just a normal legal dispute. The process felt unnecessarily hostile, psychologically exhausting, and dehumanizing. Instead of resolving issues professionally and responsibly, the approach felt like pressure, intimidation, tricks, and procedural maneuvering designed to wear a person down.
One of the most serious issues was that the case went into default on counterclaims involving approximately $120,000, after the opposing side failed to answer in time. From my perspective as the homeowner living through it, this was shocking and deeply disturbing. A lawyer handling a serious case should not allow procedural deadlines to be missed and then treat the consequences as if they are just part of the game saying it's his strategic move when he is obviously abandoned the case. If an attorney is unavailable, on vacation, or away during an active case, there still needs to be proper coverage, communication, and responsibility so the client, the court, and the other party are not dragged into unnecessary chaos.
What disturbed me most was the lack of accountability. Missed due dates, missed pre trial, lack of information and communication. The experience made me feel like a human being was being treated as a target, not a person. Legal work should be firm, but it should not feel cruel, tricky, careless, or psychologically abusive. In my opinion, this firm's conduct contributed to unnecessary stress, confusion, expense, and harm that could have been avoided with better judgment and more professional handling and not such emotional lawyer who gets angry and threatened so easily.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution any homeowner, condominium association,HOA or individual before trusting MEEB or Seth Barnett with a matter that requires fairness, accountability, and respect for the people affected by litigation. Don't waste your money. read more
