These memories are priceless! Marcus Anthony Photography had a pop-up studio in Honolulu. We were lucky enough to be picked for a session. Our doggos are 12 and my partner and I have always talked about doing professional photos with them before we lose our chance. Everyone we spoke to and dealt with were chill and professional. The session was fun. My doggo's came in and didn't bark at the photographer at all. During the Zoom session, we were walked through the process with ease and were allowed ample time to choose our photos. We don't know how much longer we will have our little guys and Marcus Anthony Photography gave us the opportunity to remember our soul dogs. Great experience all around! read more

It's a scam targeting dog lovers. They advertised free sessions, but after inquiring, they said you don't receive free digitals or a single free copy of a photo. It's a free session, but you'll have to purchase a photo package (min. $495) if you want to keep any of it. Beware of the obviously fake five-star reviews. read more

Marcus Anthony Photography - Scam - Session Photography Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

I believe this Photography Group May be a scam, If not they are very misleading and overcharge. I'm from the Denver Area and got an Instagram add of a Photo Session giveaway + $100 dollars of free printing for Senior Dog portraits. Its only said a few people would win to I applied not expecting a response. Now I won't stop getting notifications or this number reaching out to Me: (720)662-7180. I'm going to attach the conversation but it made it seem like an auto response and then it was an actual person. They want to lure people in with a fake Instagram contest and to get bookings for their average photography. Don't fall for this. There's a lot of other photographer for a better cost here in Denver :) read more

I truly had a wonderful experience working with Marcus Anthony Photography and team. The photographer was professional, yet casual and fun and that made the shoot seamless. My children loved him and of course my dog. We can be a chaotic group but as I saw the previews of the photos that were captured, I was in awe. Stunning! I couldn't be happier with the entire experience! read more

I am so incredibly grateful for having been blessed with the opportunity to bring our beloved Jack to a complimentary photo session. Our photographer, Art, was patient and kind - to include tolerating Jack's insistence upon "demonstrating his body functions" in the studio! We rescued Jack when he was already well into his senior years, and knew our time with him was limited. Art captured his magnificence so beautifully, that reviewing the proofs literally brought me to tears and took my breath away. We are so grateful to have these memories captured so expertly, which we will treasure for a lifetime. As fate saw fit, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Jack just six weeks after our photo session. He was 14-1/2 ... we miss him so terribly, but remain immensely grateful for the gift of having his handsome face and soulful essence captured in the precious photographs that were taken. We will be receiving our prints in the coming weeks, just in time to include them in our holiday cards this year. I've included another photo just so everyone can see our precious boy - his eyes were like no dog I have ever seen. Thank you to everyone at Marcus Anthony for blessing us with this precious gift! read more

Marcus Anthony Photography - Our beloved boy, Jack - forever in our hearts - Session Photography Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

This company is a bunch of schiesty bungholes. I will explain. ~They advertise on social media looking for senior pets for their website and social portfolios. The intention here is to get sentimental idiots (like me) to be like, "Hey, maybe my adorable old lady can be in their media!" ~They advertise this as a free photo shoot with no obligation to buy, but if you do choose to buy, the prices start at $495. Pricey, but not out of our budget. ~When they call you to schedule the appointment, suddenly it's no longer free. There is a $99 deposit in case you no-show your appointment. At this point I was like hmmm... I mean, I guess that makes sense but that kinda sucks. ~Two weeks after the photo shoot you have a Zoom ordering session where you view the photos and decide what you want to buy. Why over Zoom? To add pressure. You can only view these now, and you have to buy now. If you don't, you will never have the opportunity again. ~I mentioned before the prices start at $495. This is for one photo. ONE. PHOTO. One digital photo. They don't mention that at any point before this Zoom. Not on the website, not during the scheduling, never. The next package included FIVE digital photos and was $4000. I kid you not. ~At this point they've got you in a spot where you're like... crap. I've seen all these adorable photos. I've paid the $99 deposit. They've told me they will give me $100 credit towards a package. I don't want to leave this whole thing with NOTHING. This, my friends, is the sunk cost fallacy. I have been on this Earth for 40 years and consider myself a smart consumer, but here I am. I'm not too proud to warn others against this predatory marketing. read more

Be careful, it's a scam! Offers "free photo session." You submit a form for it, and within a day receive an email detailing the $99 cost to hold the session slot. They claim to offer a certain amount of credit, however there is no detail on what a photo package will cost or how you'll receive photos, in that email. Within a day I've received phone calls and texts although I already unsubscribed. They'll probably respond to this claiming it's legit - yeah, okay maybe you have a legit service but it's not "free" as the ad claimed. PS for any possible people considering doing this, you are well equipped to take amazing photos of your pets already at home! You don't need to get sucked into spending $$$ on this. Update: they contacted me again this morning, again after having had unsubscribed. scammers!!! read more

My husband and I had photos taken with our two Pomeranians. We had so much fun at the photo session and we absolutely loved the pictures. We can't wait to get them and hang them all over the house. read more

I had a photoshoot with Marcus back in August and he was AMAZING! I brought all 3 of my senior dogs, a husky, Belgian Malinois, and a pit bull, and Marcus was so incredibly patient. My husky was a bit of an anxious handful and he was able to help calm her down. He got some really nice shots with her, and I was very surprised that all three of them sat still for the group photo (of just them three). He did a great job of getting their attention, capturing their rested/happy faces, and getting a little bit of their goofy side. Highly recommend Marcus, especially if you'd like some great photos of your senior fur babies read more

I was offered a portrait session that I applied for via Instagram for their senior dogs + adults campaign and as my family has 3 dogs, one of which is 13 and recently lost her hearing, we wanted to capture her how she is now - still young and as spry as can be! The photographer who worked with us was very accommodating despite the fiasco of having three dogs and three humans trying to get it together but we ended up loving the results and can't wait to see the final prints. We are so appreciative. Thank you so much for capturing our fur babies so beautifully! read more

We saw an ad for a senior dog session with a small discount on purchasing photos--that was up front and clear. This company takes their photography and business very seriously, so they did request a $99 fee to book the session and make sure that you show up. The great thing is that all of the money--$199 was added to the photos you buy. While it might seem a bit of a gamble (are you going to for sure buy photos?), if you look at the website you can tell that there are quality photos and that it's a successful business. We had no issues putting this payment in because at the very least, we wanted a professional, lasting photo of our dog. We got it. The photo session was very quick, no less than 30 min. Since they have studios all over, you won't necessarily get the "Marcus Anthony" but the photographer we had was really nice--it was a wonderful experience. If you read the directions on the website for what to wear and how to prepare, you're all good. Then, they do a follow-up session to choose photos you like and purchase a package. It's quick, professional, and granted, the photos are expensive but no less than any other professional photography business. We were able to pay for the package on a payment plan. We'll be happy with our purchase. read more

I had a great experience, even with an incontinent dog and a six year old who threw up at the end. The photographer was charming and obviously very talented. The photo session was intense but there were so many gems. It is pricey. This is the type of photoshoot you should do every five years or so. Thank you! read more

We participated in a senior dog and human project. What a wonderful experience we had with the Marcus Anthony Photography Team! From start to finish, so very thorough and carefully reviewed each images. Now, we cannot wait for the finished project. The location was easy to access and very dog-friendly. The photographer was very patient and good with dogs and kids. And it was a very stressful free session. Same with the ordering and reviewing, very detailed and patiently have us review and choose. I'm mostly happy that we were able to get some good pictures of our dog, as she is rather geriatric and it has been several years since family photos so that was just an altogether wonderful experience for us to keep and remember for a long time to come. read more

My husband and I took our senior pups to get photos, and I don't think we could have had a better experience. Our photographer met us outside and was instantly such a calm presence around our nervous boys. The session went so smoothly and we were able to get a wide variety of pictures not just of our family but that showcased the boys' personalities. Our ordering session went great and I can't believe how well the pictures turned out! This was our first professional photography session and I can't imagine it going any better! read more

We participated in Senior Dog portrait sessions with Marcus Anthony and had a great time. Our dogs aren't the best listeners, and our photographer was so patient with our girls. We had fun, and the end result were portraits we will cherish for a lifetime. The customer service is also wonderful. We had an emergency and had to cancel our original portrait session at the last minute. I was resigned to losing our spot, but multiple members of the staff were so kind, allowed us to reschedule without penalty, and even texted to check in on us between original and rescheduled sessions. We recommend Marcus Anthony to anyone for animal and family photos! We don't have our photos yet, but I will update here when we do! read more

My boyfriend, myself and our 3 dogs did a session and had such a great experience! Giovanni was kind and welcoming and the photo session itself was nice in terms of a good environment for our dogs! Our dogs were a little weary of the cameras so honestly we weren't sure what to expect from the photographs - but when we did our photo review session we had an incredibly hard time narrowing our images down. Giovanni captured the BEST images of our dogs and their personalities. We couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Thank you so much for capturing our family! As someone with 2 senior dogs I'm so happy we were able to participate and have wonderful pictures from Marcus Anthony Photography :) read more

My original review gave this company 3 stars because the photos were good but expensive. 3 stars is still better than average. I guess that's bad enough for the owner to come on here and criticize me for a low review. Yes - they do share their packages start at $1495 for digital prints. However, I think they specifically leave out you only get FIVE digital photos for that price. I've Included a screen shot of what was shown to me ahead of time which the owner called out in his response to my review). If the company is going to say you were open about pricing ahead of time, why don't you include the incredibly small amount of digital prints you get for that price? read more

I paid $400 for a portrait of my dog that I never received. They said that they sent it twice but refused to give me a tracking number. I'm giving one star because the photographer I worked with was actually pretty good. read more

My husband and I were blessed to have an amazing session with our photographer from Marcus Anthony Photography. He knew just how to get our puppies to pose. It was no easy feat as they are rescues who had previously been abused and so are very shy with strangers. He quickly won them over. Highly recommend for our family photos read more

They ran an add leading people to think they would get a free professional picture as they were needing owners with older dogs for promo photos . However, once we communicated it was explained that in order to receive a free photo, photos have to first be purchased. As this was over a month ago I am unable to remember the exact price she gave me but it was no less that $700 and went up from there. The company representative I spoke with gave an average quote of $1200.00. This of course is WAAAAYYYYY outta my budget, smh. read more

This is my second photo shoot with Marcus Anthony. They are absolutely the best with your dogs no matter how shy or reactive they may be. I highly recommend if they come to your town jump on that and get your favorite pictures with your pup! read more

Scam alert! They will suck you in under false pretenses, blow your phone up, and their "free" photo session is not free when you have to pay $500 for one photo. The $100 gift card doesn't even cover a quarter of the cost of ONE photo. I finally got them to stop calling me today, thank goodness!! Its been a whole week of 3-4 calls a day. read more

I'm usually the type of person to do research before committing to something. Unfortunately, they got me at a vulnerable time as I fell for their clickbait advertisement on IG. Couple months earlier I reached out to another studio also offering pet portraits but didn't follow through, cause I was drawn to the advertised "black and white" style. All I could think about was my pups are 15 years and not getting younger and I better do this now before it's too late. I was excited but nervous as this was my first ever "studio" shoot with my 2 senior pups. Please take the following with a grain of salt as it's my own opinion. Concerns... - majority of the communication was via text than email - you had to schedule the shoot, photo review, and pay the reservation fee all within the initial call, a bit rushed and no time to think it over. The gentleman I spoke to seemed a bit frustrated. - i was under the impression that i be working with marcus himself - the actual shoot took less then 30 mins, regret not asking for some action shots - one of my dogs was sensitive to the flash and kept blinking, i was hoping to see some of those candid shots - you had to review, choose, and purchase within the zoom meet, again felt rushed. If they shared the photos and/or price list prior, likely shorten the review process - purchase transaction was over the phone, had to share my cc info, unable to review or have yet to receive an invoice via email - price point a bit high, almost 200 for a single digital file - lack a local contact, they use an 808 number and signing messages with the city name. Positives... - instructions were clear and reiterated - faqs and seeing their work was helpful - photographer Art? was nice and patient with my dogs since I forgot the treats - reviewer Ryan? was also nice and patient with me trying to choose photos - fun and rewarding experience - got "priceless" black and white photos of my pups to cherish forever Live and learn! read more

Our pomeranian Jasper is 13 so we wanted to have photos done with him and our family and they were offering complimentary sessions with discounted pricing. Scheduling was easy on the phone as was finding the studio location in LA, we street parked with no issue. Art was our photographer and he was great and easy to work with. We have 2 little kids and a hyper pom so it can be hard to get them to all cooperate and look at the camera. I coulda sworn we didn't get any good shots, but I was blown away when we saw the images in our zoom session with Audra. They were SO SO GOOD, better than I could have imagined. It was hard to decide which we wanted to purchase, but they have various packages to choose from. We typically do the annual family photos outside with a lifestyle photographer, so I'm so happy we'll have these studio portraits to frame and hang up. Its like a piece of art! read more

Our photographer was very patient with our pup as she's hard of hearing and a bit blind. we had a positive overall experience and the photos came out looking beautiful. we werent sure if we would purchase anything initially, but upon seeing the joy that was captured between us and our pup we couldn't help ourselves. very happy with the experience and quality of the product. read more

We had a fun session with our photographer Jorge who was great with our golden retriever and two very young kids. The style of the work is timeless and makes for wonderful wall art. Pricing is on the higher side but with these types of things you often get what you pay for. It's worth it if you can afford it, like the style, and enjoy the experience. They are transparent about the pricing and process. Would recommend for families with young children and pets. read more

We participated in a local pop-up in Anchorage for senior dogs. We rarely do any professional photos at all, even for our humans, and it was definitely a first for photos of our pets. Not only was the session a memorable experience (the photographer was the personification of calm while our dogs were literally running in circles) but the photos turned out incredibly well. The entire process was smooth and professional, from booking to ordering, and we are excited to get our photos to use as holiday gifts. Thank you all so much! read more

We signed up our dog for a senior dog photo shoot when they had a pop up in Seattle. We couldn't be happier with the results! The solo shots of our dog were as lovely as the family photos with him. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering family portraits with babies and fur babies. They have very skilled photographers who are a pleasure to work with. read more

SCAM alert. I was one of many who answered the "free senior dog shoot" on Facebook. I was so excited to be "chosen" and then I got the same script as many others shared. $100 deposit, the cheapest photo you can purchase is $495 for ONE 8x10 photo. And, you get no digital proofs, which I know most photographers don't give them anyway. Just steer clear and don't believe their BS. read more

We had such a wonderful time during our photo session with Marcus Anthony, who was featuring humans with their senior dogs. They managed to ensure our Great Dane, Sienna, looked happy and content in each photo. And her humans, as well! The review and ordering session went smoothly and we appreciated the transparency and communication (also leading up to the photo shoot) so we knew exactly what to expect. We're so happy and excited to finally have professionally done family photos! Thank you! read more

I recently had to cancel my photo order due to the loss of a family member thus a change in financial status. After trying to contact support for over 4 days with no response I was given a two sentence response there was no refund policy. I had not received my photos yet but I had paid a pricey deposit which I will apparently not be getting back. Additionally, on google there is a one start review with an accusation that Marcus Anthony is stealing other photographers work and photo ads. read more

Found this studio on Instagram for a senior dog photo shoot. The photographer has great communication and was patient with my dog. The photo review meeting is well organized and not rushed. We had a great experience with Marcus Anthony. We did the senior dog photo shoot and our photographer was good at giving direction but also so patient with my two dogs, one of which was really afraid of the click sound from the camera. He did everything he could to make sure it was as fun of an experience as possible. The ordering process was also pretty seamless, Audra was really helpful in sorting through the images and making sure we got the deal that best fit what we were looking for. The pictures themselves were both classic and whimsical. read more
