The workers were friendly, and arrived on time. The not good Schedule: The tough part was scheduling. It took just over three weeks to get anyone to my house. The first week had about two inches of snow, but early in the week. The weather was fine with all snow melted for the next two. This put my construction on hold, and there was absolutely no communication that I could relay to my contractor except they said they'd come this week... Every week I was told that they would come, and then heard nothing. Price: The entire job (two roof vents, one for a bathroom, one for a drier) took less than six hours start to finish. After what I was told was a "deal" I was charged 3,600 cash. I had to research the correct sort of vent to put in according to code and was responsible for buying it (not bad, $30 or so, but still, I do not understand why the job was so expensive. I asked multiple people including the owner for some sort of itemized bill where I could see how much was being charged for labor and how much for supplies/equipment rental, but have never received anything.

Overall, for me, Bryson Builders was a great decision, because Peter, the contractor, has experience with the insurance claim process; he is not "salesy" and listened to my concerns/questions; and he had a thorough estimate that clearly outlined all the work that would be completed. Having never been through a renovation, the repair process went beyond my expectations. Given that my roommate and I were still living in my home through the process, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The Bryson Builders team members were professional and treated my home well. For the most part, the work area was cleaned on a daily basis and I can see progress as time passed. Due to my schedule, I appreciated the flexibility in being able to communicate with Peter via phone or email. I received updates from Peter frequently allowing me to be mentally prepared and/or to prepare my home as necessary. The finished product is so amazing, from the quality paint job throughout the home, the installation of the countertops, electrical work, and the bathroom tiling to the roof replacement.
