Finally, after weeks of waffling over what to buy, I made an appointment to meet Lori at her shop. The shop inventory felt like just 'enough' and not so much that I would again be hopelessly confused. Lori walked me through all the choices and price points and pros/consfor a side sleeper. She was just great about offering ideas without upselling. I ended up with a mid price mattress, without many bells or whistles. Lori and her son delivered, set it up and removed the old set. I can't say enough nice things about Lori or about the good experience she offers. We are so lucky to have her and her carefully curated little shop in our town.

It's so hard to find that kind of kindness and professionalism these days, and Sonoma Furniture is one of the few businesses I've found that really excels in every area. They're a local family business, and I always feel good supporting them instead of spending money at big chains. Businesses like this are exactly why shopping local matters. One thing that really stood out to me: I bought a chair online from a different manufacturer that Sonoma Furniture doesn't even carry, and the manufacturer sent me a taller replacement cylinder for it. I didn't want to hire a handyman because I wanted someone who actually knows furniture to do it properly, so I asked if they could help. I even offered to pay, but Kirk, the owner, replaced it for me as a favor. That kind of generosity and customer care is incredibly rare. However....The customer service here was crappy, even though I was the only customer in the store. And they seem to not make ANY effort to establish a rapport with customers for repeat business or to foster recommendations to friends. The lack of friendly or engaged customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I bought a second bed a month later for my other bedroom at a different store.

Good for 2 Years - then EPIC FAIL…read more Started off as a great bed for about 2 years, then it started to sag - like the resilience was all gone. Major dents in the middle of the mattress. Good thing they give you a 20 year warranty right - since it cost 3 THOUSAND Dollars. The inspector comes out and basically says it's the box springs fault, hence, the warranty is worthless. And while the box spring that comes with it may not have been perfect, it in no way effected the mattress to lose composure. Now who do you trust when you buy another bed - because this one is total garbage and is hurting my back. I don't want to spend 3 grand every few years for a decent mattress. Extremely Disappointed
