This is an intimate little salon in a place where there are many…read more Hair salons are everywhere in Barry, there seems to be one on every corner, yet somehow when my mum decides she needs a trim that very day it's difficult for her to get an appointment last minute. Luckily the nice folk at catwalk could fit her in, so she headed down for a quick cut and blow dry before heading off on her holidays. I have to say, the result was not bad, and I have it on good authority that the woman who cut her hair, was chatty, friendly and competent. All in all, it cost about £30, so not bad value for money either, I personally hate having my hair cut but I think I'd be alright here, even if it was only for a trim.

A&H Asprou are a barbershop located on Holton Road in Barry, it's just on the outskirts from the main town. You can immediately tell that it is a men's barbershop because of all the reading material there is whilst you sit and wait. You have many newspapers but also the magazine FHM. This is definitely a 'no girls allowed' zone. I'm drifting from the point now, what I want to stress about this place is the service is fantastic, you can walk in without an appointment and wait, and it's very cheap. I remember paying £8 for my last cut and it was one of the best I had. It can get busy on certain days especially the weekend, but if you are prepared to wait then you will get the best cut you deserve. A&H Asprou is an excellent barber shop where you can get a cheap and amazing hair cut along with the high level of service by the guys who work there. One of the best!
