Soapy spots always left on rear view mirrors because the air blower never gets to it. On my recent visit she assisted me with putting washer fluid in my Tahoe as well as vacuuming. I have never seen such an employee go beyond to ensure her customers are not overlooked. Bwgore you give this company you credit/debit card information read this: Marc-1 and it's Parent Company Mammoth Holding engage in what I would perceive as deceitful billing practices. I bought a ONE TIME (let's be clear-NOT one of their recurring plans)....it was a Winter Wash plan for $50 set to expire at a particular date. 3.5 weeks layer they charged my debit card for $49.95 without any kind of written agreement, notice , warning, email, text or anything. Furthermore, the one-time purchase didn't mention that anything would renew. However, they charged the card $49.95. Wha's even stranger is that they have no product that costs $49.95 ANYWHERE!. They make it nearly impossible to contact anyone at their company to resolve such issues...I call this theft myself...you make your own mind up. The only way to contactbanyone supposedly (and if you can find the website...is to use some useless, non-operational chat feature on a website called managemycarwash.com . The chat feature is .... surprise surprise not operational as I write this. I believe they intentionally make this process so customer unfriendly that they retain a lot of money they don't deserve. I'm sure a lot of people get frustrated and give up and say "Hey I'll just change my card number with my bank". But wait, there's more..... According to the previously mentioned website: "Please know that customers' banks update credit card information with our third-party credit card processing company if a customer does not update it themselves. This is not an act of Mammoth Holdings, LLC. Attempting to allow a recurring plan to "expire" is not recommended, as the credit card on file will likely update itself via the issuing bank. The only way to discontinue an Unlimited Wash Club Membership is to visit the car wash's website and complete a discontinue form request (managemycarwash.com)." Which....puts you right back around the circle to how do I actually contact someone. I am simply left with closing down my bank account and changing banks. Screw them. Whether all of this is by design (my opinion) or my sheer laziness...I can not recommend Marc-1 or any other car wash brand of Mammoth Holdings (which has a Better Business Bureau rating of F ). It was a decent wash but did not even clean the windshield completely. I did take advantage of the included vacuum. I could not find towels or cleaner which most car washes have available. Marc One: Extremely expensive car wash with terrible results. I don't usually use Marc One but I was desperate to get my car clean. I pulled up to find that bug cleaning (pre wash) was self service and not included in the wash. When I finished my pre wash, I opted for the $15 service. My car was fairly dirty and I figured their second most expensive wash would do the trick. I paid, went through the wash and came out to the vacuum. lol and behold, my car wasn't completely clean. There was still dirt on my windshield, windows and in and all around the front end of my car. Compared to the service I receive from my favorite wash (for half the price) this was ridiculous. Having my car being the dirtiest it's ever been due to the recent drought in Birmingham, a car wash was just what I needed. I chose the $20 car wash which includes a lava bath, lava shine, the waterfall rinse and cure, a lava seal paint sealant, a hot wax & shine, a tire shine, and rain x complete. I hate to admit this, but this was the first time I got a real car wash since I bought my car over a year ago. This is the newest it has ever looked! I received excellent customer service. The worker helped me use my phone to pay and took off my car antennae (I didn't know I was supposed to nor did I know it was removable haha). After the car wash, the vacuum is a breeze to use as is the car mat washer. My only regret is that I didn't take my precious time with the vacuum, so if I give I can give you one take away message....take your sweet time with the vacuum!! Of course it rained the day after I got my car wash here, and has rained a few times since I washed it but it still looks extremely clean after three weeks. After consulting Yelp, I decided to take my Chevy Equinox here for her first wash since delivery. While the wash was pretty good, after examining my vehicle, saw small scuff marks on the bumper where I would guess the tall cloth thing came down and hit it. Can I prove the car wash did this? No because I don't have before and after photos. However, as someone who just purchased a vehicle off the lot, and who has examined all the details because I'm a little OCD when it comes to cars, the marks were NOT there prior to the wash. The store manager Sean C. is absolutely awesome! He took time out to help rid my car of some mystery substance that wouldn't let go of my car. He didn't have to do that as I already knew elbow grease was the only way out. This level of customer service ia rare nowadays! The big "little" touches at Marc-1 brought me back: bug prep before the wash and the rug cleaner afterwards. This is now my favorite car wash and I was truly impressed with how it is set up. They have so many great deals here you can get a basic car wash for 7 dollars, a tire shine special for 12 dollars, hot wax special for 15 dollars, and the lava bath wash for 20 dollars and any one you choose comes with a free vacuum. One of the things I noticed is that you can vacuum your entire car and it stays on so you can clean out your entire car and there's no time limit. I also noticed that they have a machine were you can put your mats in and it washes and drys the mats they also have a spray bottle so you can hit the other places on your car if you have not been to Marc 1 I strongly recommend this car wash you won't be disappointed read more

There are plenty of drive-thru car washes in Birmingham and I've passed through most of them. None of them come close to the experience I consistently receive at Marc-1. Prior to entering the wash, you can scrub your tires, pre-soak your wheels and remove bug & tar from your grill...free of charge. The stations are always full of warm, soapy water and clean brushes to do so. The staff greet you and lead you towards the car wash conveyor and if you have a back windshield wiper (like me), they will tape it down to insure your car wash is safe. Their car washing system gives your car a thorough clean from the windows to the bumpers and undercarriage. Your tires will shine and all smudges on your outer glass will disappear. The dryer does a great job of removing excess water, but you will still need to do a quick wipe down once you exit the car wash. But that's cool because they provide drying towels and window cleaner near the vacuum station as part of their stellar service. The vacuums are always strong and there's even a mat cleaner to make sure your vehicle is pristine inside and out. The prices range from $7 to $15 per wash and I've read some reviews where people complain about that. If you're committed to your car's upkeep, I strongly suggest you enroll in their subscription plan. They advertise an unlimited wash for nearly $30/month BUT you can get the Wheel Cleaner plan for $20/month and get a great wash, Rain-X window treatment plus wheel/tire shine. With this subscription, you can go to Marc-1 twice a day, everyday if you want. It pays for itself and it is by far one of the best investments I've made this year. I came to Marc-1 to get my car cleaned. I continue to go to Marc-1 because of the kind way I'm treated and the extra amenities (e.g., pre-soak, towels, vacuum) that help keep my vehicle looking new. We spend so much time criticizing bad service, it's only right that I highlight the superior, dependable service I receive form Marc-1 every time I visit. Post wash I examined my vehicle to find scratches in the clear coat obvious spots the brush didn't hit. I paid extra for an undercarriage wash which clearly hit nothing and was barely damp and found dirt still visibly sitting on the exterior. If you want a great half done job Marc 1 is the place to go. Some people have complained that they don't like that the bug wash is self service, but honestly, I would rather be the one to do it so I know it's done to my specs. It was no employee from Prattville. It was the Billing and the office with Isaac. Apparently he said he was the top man but he sure didn't sound like it. He would not give me another person or phone number and would not even try to work out what we could do. Isaac could care less about customers satisfaction. He sounded like a robot. I've been a customer for many years. Good customer service would try to work out a solution that would be good for both the customer and business. I did not receive the email for a hike increase but that was not why I was calling. I wasn't even upset about that until I talked to this Isaac with no last name. He said it was not my business to know his name but he knows mine. I called before the end of April to pause my May & June service because I would be out of the country. He said it was billed 2 days ago and I would just lose that money. He would not even let me use it when we return. I canceled my membership that I've had for years. I will not ever use them again and I will pass that on to anyone I can. There are other carwashes in our town that I can give my business to. Hopefully they care more about their customers. Marc 1 definitely lost a long term customer that has lived in this area for 35 years. read more

This place just doesn't really care - employee guiding me in gave me just a trigger of water before entering the wash (?? lol what was the point), vacuum things were messed up, and the mat cleaner thing was broken. When I got to the pay station it was set to make you buy a monthly membership. I thought I was buying a single car wash but bought a membership instead. The young woman working outside took my debit card and told me to go inside for a refund. I went through the car wash but when I emerged on the other side I noticed a traffic jam. Even though the car wash was busy today because it was a sunny day, all the vacuums on one side were out of order. So, you had to keep circling around hoping to eventually get a space. As I was coming around the backside I saw a car just coming out of the wash get the only available space. I didn't have time to do this song and dance. I went inside to get my refund for the membership. The guy working inside was completely unapologetic. When I complained about not being able to use the vacuums, he told me the vacuums were free and I had to pay the full amount for the car wash. I'll never come here again. read more

If there is anything that I think is a waste of time and money, it is washing my car at a drive-through carwash. I much prefer the DIY pressure washer bays but it seems they are almost extinct in B'ham. Nonetheless, after months (and I mean MONTHS) of weather/pollen/grime/bugs/birds my car needed a little TLC. Marc One is the closest to my house and, based on Jason B's review, I gave it a shot. It is tucked away off Oxmoor on Palisades and the entrance can be a little tricky to turn into and navigate. I nearly overlooked the opportunity to pre-scrub your car (what they call a bug-scrub). The water here was murky and very dirty but the brushes seemed pretty soft and quickly loosened the gunk. From here, you can pull up to the menu board and select a service. I chose the $10 option (the next up from basic) which included a tire add-on. I was a little skeptical of the up charge but, in the end, pleased as my muddy tires/rims looked brand new post wash. I was less impressed with the body wash as it left residue and a few water spots and really didn't look *that* much cleaner than post hand scrubbing, bummer. The vacuum area is fabulous with high suction, nimble vacuum heads and even floor mat washer/dryers (I didn't even know this was a thing!). Overall, I was unexpectedly impressed with this place. Next time, I might spend some time at home to pre-soak/loosen the exterior grime and see if that improves the wash results. read more
