Summary: I hired Clauser Contracting to redo my residential Doylestown driveway in August 2026…read more They did great work at an excellent price, and are worth serious consideration for your asphalt-related needs. Details: Steven Clauser (company owner) arrived punctually at my house to talk through the project. He provided a written estimate on the spot. With an included 5% discount, his price was the lowest for the specified level of service (removal of all old asphalt, leveling as needed, and a new 3" surfacing). On the day of the job, Steven's son, Michael, arrived punctually with a crew of four other workers. Michael's crew was professional and paid close attention to detail, taking care not to damage my flowers and plants inches away from the driveway. As I write this review two weeks later, I'm very happy with the quality and appearance of the job. I'm also confident that Clauser will stand behind their work should any issues arise.

Andrew and Steve are master craftsman with a keen eye to minute details. I contacted them to…read moreconstruct an interior PA blue stone pad for my new wood stove and also to install stone veneer on two of the walls. Andrew and Steve are not just stone masons and have excellent skills in both interior and exterior construction that comes in handy when the unforeseen glitch pops up. For example they were able to reinforce the floor to support the very heavy weight of the pad and stove. While working in the basement on the floor reinforcement, Andrew noticed that there was a bump in the basement concrete floor that I lamented had been tripping me every time I did the laundry. Without hesitation, he went to his truck for some tools and remedied that rather large bump at no additional charge. Steve is an artisan, and created a real show piece backdrop to the Vermont castings red stove. The pattern and color variation he put forth is truly amazing and far exceeded my expectations. There was one stone that I felt was a little off in color, and they had no pushback, and were completely open to replacing it albeit while the stone had not fully set, but it was obvious their goal was 100% customer satisfaction. The cuts for outlets, windows, and ceilings were flawless and the mortar joints between stones was applied perfectly. I learned that Andrew is a 2nd generation mason, and he and Steve had been training under his dad since they were kids. I had to travel out of town, and had no worries leaving them the keys to finish the job. They are great communicators and completely trust-worthy. When icy cold rain was forecast Andrew called the night before to alert me of the threatening weather and left it that he would revisit the workday in the morning. He called bright and early to "ASK" if we could postpone a day as he would be cutting the stone and mixing mortar outside. I of course agreed. They also coordinated with the stove installers to help wrangle the very heavy stove pad onto the frame they had built. Andrew and Steve are team players and also a great team, with complimentary skills and eyes that truly ensures a beautiful job. They cleaned up every day and left the job, spotless with no debris. They have my highest recommendation and can handle any masonry job at hand. 6 Stars out of 5!!!!!

We are thrilled with the hardwood floor refinishing work done by Kevin Smith Flooring. Randall and…read moreMickey were professional, respectful of our home and easy to work with. Our floors are engineered pecan. The actual wood measures about a quarter inch. Because of this, the work was challenging. Randall explained his entire process to us before the work began. He and Mickey paid attention to every detail from start to finish. Plastic was put up around the sanding areas to limit the dust getting into other parts of the house. A special vacuum was used during the sanding process to keep the area as dust-free as possible. Then the floors were coated twice with a low luster, water-based product and we love the finish better than the shiny floor we had prior. The finished floors are beautiful and make the whole house look like new. I highly recommend Kevin Smith Flooring to refinish your hardwood floors. One of the reasons we chose this company is because floors are all they do. They are knowledgeable about everything hardwood floors. Their work is high quality with reasonable pricing. Randall goes over and above to please the customer. Pictures: All the flooring is going in the same direction. The pictures show the floors in different rooms/different angles. P.S. My location is Lititz, PA. Not sure why it's showing Providence, RI.
