I came here to take the EMR to Luton airport along with the DART. The train itself arrived and left on time. There were also many shops inside the station and I could not help but stop in all of them. The only thing about a popular station is the fact that there are a lot of pick-pockets.

I want to give it a higher review, but I could only do 3 stars because it felt like a hot mess. The…read morelines were very long, the security people were not friendly, and there were not enough of seats when 3 different trains were waiting at the same time. Somehow even with 20 minutes of boarding everyone got on and the train left on time. That was amazing!

Overview: a beautiful station, very big and can be confusing, many stores and food options…read more ---- I stayed a hostel 5 minutes away by walking and this station was so convenient. The architecture was so beautiful at any time of the day. The inside being quite beautiful as well, especially when you walk upstairs overlooking the Eurostar trains and see a couple different statues there. My favorite was the large one of the couple embracing. Platform 9 3/4 is located in this station, for Harry Potter fans, the cart is available during the day to take a picture with for a price, but after hours they remove it and you can still take pics and videos with it! During my stay they had free ice cream outside the station that was super yummy and a nice little treat to have before heading out in my way to the trains. Inside the station are lots of places to eat and has cheap, convenient food spots like Greggs, and nicer sit-down places as well. It can be a bit tough navigating through the station because it's so big (especially when using maps and trying to find places like restaurants inside of the station) but for the train areas just follow the signs and it's pretty self explanatory. They even have a piano for people to play for fun which was cool to see and hear. Scanning in and out of the station is also easy because all you need is a credit/debit card and you don't even need to purchase a ticket which is so much more convenient compared to places in the US or France. ---- Overall: a great station to stay near and to go to, easy-ish to navigate and lots of places to eat at, very beautiful station as well

The location is great because if you come in here, you're close to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Embankment and Leicester Square. There are not too many tracks so it's easy to get your train. We took a Southeastern train to London Bridge here and it was very quick. For connected tube service, you can access the Northern and the Bakerloo lines. It's quite a trek to get to the Bakerloo line but it's nice to have the connections in one place. Also, many bus lines go right be here so it's easy to get a direct ride to this station. While we were staying near Trafalgar Square, this was our most used transit hub.

We greatly appreciated the convenience of the direct Canterbury West to Charing Cross Route and the subsequent short walk to our hotel (at Trafalgar Square) from there. This station is a bit smaller than some of the other transit hub stations (e.g. Paddington, St. Pancras, etc.), which was just fine by us.

Paddington Station is huge. You can get almost anywhere in London from here. Lots of shops and…read moreplaces to eat are in the station. Two groceries are in the station, which makes it very convenient to pick some things up. A hotel is in the renovated older part of the station. It has a direct entrance rate into Paddington Station. This is a good location to stay. Lots of hotels in different price range ranges are within a 5 to 10 minute walk shopping and restaurants are all set within a 5 to 10 minute walk.

It's a pretty large store. It sells anything Paddington-related you can think of: books, stuffed Paddingtons, t-shirts, sweatshirts, toys, ... everything Paddington! With the musical a hit in the West End, they have lots of Paddington: The Musical souvenirs, too. I went home with a book and a large Paddington stuffed animal. It's a fun stop if you're at Paddington Station anyway!

It's clean and well-run and is easy to navigate with signage. I came into this station from Heathrow via the express train from the airport to Paddington Station for about $45. I easily walked up and purchased my ticket at the airport from a kiosk and walked via the easy to follow signage to the correct area and waited about 8 minutes for the next train. Once at Paddington, I switched to another train and made it to my hotel. All for about $50 in 45 minutes instead of spending $150 on a taxi and sitting in traffic for two hours. No thanks! I love the ease of inner city travel via train in London. It's great. Europeans have it figured out when it comes to that! The station itself is large and has plenty of shopping and snacks to take care of you. I hadn't eaten in hours and grabbed a sandwich while here and looked at some shirts and sunglasses for the trip. When conversing with the very nice employee here and he was explaining the zones he informed me that the majority of all travelers remain within Zone 1-2 on the Jubilee line. He also informed that the Westminster stop would be where a lot of the sights would be. Upon arrival, I noticed how clean the station was, I didn't see a garbage can in sight, but yet, I didn't one piece of garbage on the floor. All stops here have signage everywhere-- where to transfer, where to exit, some of the sights at that station, etc. what a huge help when you're in a city or country for the first time! They have an employee at the gate so you can ask questions and they are actually eager to assist without an attitude!

The thing about this station is that when you get off one of the lines it simply feels as if you…read moreare literally at the bottom of the pit. The reason for this is that I can basically see the escalators heading up to the sub-surface. That's probably because how they originally built this station, though ironically it seems as if this is the only deep level tube station they built this way. The staff is predominantly helpful, especially for the newbies who have no idea why their train isn't listed within eyeshot on those screens. And it's a quick in/out to the underground, or even quicker for overground in the same building. Pro tip if you have a few extra minutes: go upstairs and grab a bench there, along with a drink/snack as you gaze down at the hoi polloi below. Just make sure you jump when the polite announcer calls your number.

Well, it turned out that I was completely wrong - this station is absolutely massive, much, much bigger than I have every experienced (in fact it is the biggest station in England). Yeah, this station is nothing short of massive, and it simply took me ages just to locate the tube station so I could get back to my hotel. Bond Street is a fine place for switching from the Central to the Jubilee lines. Easy enough to access, aside from the major crowds of shoppers walking along the street.
