I always have fun (or frustration) finding the diesel pump, but this one had a big green and white label across the top. I drove up just as an attendant was working with it. He gave me a funny look and asked "Do you want...diesel?" and of course, I said "Yes, of course, that's all I use now." What was problematic was that they have different nozzle sizes and this one was for trucks--less restrictive, faster flow. It barely fit and it took longer but it gave me time to think, I suppose. It also gave me time to see the pumps just across from there which had all 3 grades of gasoline + diesel. Oops! Inside the store, it seemed to be a typical, older style Speedway. The rest room could have used a cleaning but it wasn't nasty. After that, I got a drink and noticed that the prices were a bit higher than I usually see. Rewards must cost more in Urbana. In any case, the cashier was friendly and quickly took care of my purchase and sent me on my way.

As a last resort while fueling my car one evening, I decided to walk inside the Sunoco for some snacks. While in there, I perused the refrigerators and much to my surprise, this store stocked it. From that day forward, I've purposely stayed in the same hotel every visit because this specific location is right across the street from said hotel. They have not disappointed me yet, lol. It has always been in stock regardless of when I visited! This location has been a life-saver for me! I don't like much of anything else! It has been in stock and still fresh/in date! It's now time for someone else to purchase the supply from this location. My family member has passed away and I don't foresee another trip north in my future. BIG THANKS SUNOCO!

From the parking lot, La Palma looked like any typical restaurant you could envision. Once inside that vision changed.... To exactly what you'd envision a Mexican restaurant to be! The color scheme, the decor, the terra cotta orange colored tiles, the scents from the kitchen...... The service was exceptionally quick as we were among only 3-4 tables in the mid-afternoon. The food was brought to the table with a quickness not seen in many food restaurants! It was also delivered mistake free! Most definitely unusual in the food industry. The portions were too big for me... but for the men in our party nearly cleaned their plates! I had a taco salad and the only complaint I have is that the meat wasn't drained well enough.... Making the shell soggy. I feel that's a common Mexican restaurant occurrence, tho. In the end.... I'd still recommend La Palma. I know there isn't a lot to choose from in Urbana, so check it out.... At least it's not fast food!
