I can't say enough good things about the Daycare. At (TWG) educating the children is very important. They start from the Infant Stage on up! They work on Colors, Shapes, ABC's, Gross Motor Skills, you name it and they apply it into your child's everyday activities. Your child gets a daily sheet, letting you know what they did, ate, how long they napped, they even recorded diaper changes!! They have a few different playgrounds, as well as an indoor Gross Motor Room. This way the kids can all play, but it's never "Big Kids with Little Kids" They run a very structured schedule and somehow keep all the kids on a great routine. They have a photographer come in at the beginning of every year and take pictures of all the kids and you can buy packages. They also take the kids on field trips (with your permission obviously) and go to pumpkin farms etc. Like I said before, I can't say enough about TWG!! I've read some of the other reviews about the Owners caring about money etc???? First of all, show me someone who owns their own business and DOESN'T care about the money! Money is what keeps their business running, food in their kid's mouths, and their bills paid. They have the same concerns as every other "RESPONSIBLE ADULT IN THE WORLD" The prices are comparable if not better than other daycare centers. PLUS it includes Breakfast, Lunch and 2 Snacks/Drinks daily! Please don't let this "Bitter ex-employee" who wrote one review, get in your head about this place, being anything but GREAT!! All you have to do is take a tour and see for yourself. First it's much bigger inside than it looks from the road. I never would have thought it was as big as it is, or that there were all these playgrounds around the back. The thing that impressed me THE MOST when we went on our tour was the "Sound" Every other daycare center I'd ever been to, as soon as I would walk in I'd hear screaming/crying etc...Not at TWG, we walked in and walked past all the classrooms, all the kids were engaged and seemed to be having fun! ALL the kids looked like they were having a blast! Karen recommended we leave our Son in the classroom that he'd be entering, if we decided to go to TWG, to see how he did. We left him in the room, took the rest of the tour and he could of cared less! We were sold, and our son started that Monday. I must also mention this, in the past 5 years of us picking up & dropping off our son I've heard screaming or crying "MAYBE" 5 or 6 TIMES!!!!!! That's a mild miracle in itself, if you ask me!!! I also think that speaks Volumes and Shows that the children at TWG are HAPPY & CONTENT, and well taken care of. Because we don't live in the ESM area, this September my son will be finishing up his time at Together We Grow, and beginning Kindergarten in our District. It will be sad to say goodbye to Karen and all of the teachers that took such great care of our Son!! Anytime anyone asks me about childcare I recommend TWG and will continue to do the same! Be prepared to start hearing "Well that's not how Ms. Diane does it", "Well That's not how Ms Diane cooks it", "Ms. Diane's carrots are different than yours, I like Ms.Diane's better" ***LOL I'm just giving you a heads up*** Ms. Diane is the woman who prepares all of the kids meals, and takes the time to cut the food into little tiny bites, for the babies, and cut all the crust off the sandwich's for the older kids. I toured the DayCare with the owner and when I asked the owner if I could speak to some current parents to hear their experiences first hand, the owner promptly reached out after we finished the tour and had 2 current parents call me. They both had extremely positive things to say about the DayCare and staff. I also had a friend of a friend who had a child that went here and they also said it was a really nice place. Ultimately I chose different DayCare which was more spacious but also more costly, so you'll need to weigh the options and make your decision according to your preferences/budget. Overall, I think this DayCare, Together we grow, is a great option and I feel it's good to give credit where credit is due and that's why I am writing this review.

Pretty certain the other reviewer is confusing this daycare with one in DC or VA…read more The Growing Place in Syracuse is full of dedicated, trained professionals who have, on average, been there for 8+ years. There were, to my memory, zero firings in 2017. I can only say the best things about this daycare, where my 4 year old has been going since she was 6 months old. It's not a homogeneous group of kids but they do generally come from white collar families. The teachers have done a really good job of supporting education (my daughter could write her name when she turned 3) and social graces & behavior, including our efforts at potty training.

They are like a new extended family and treat us all kindly and like our concerns matters. Our daughter is learning Spanish, how to read and so many wonderful social skills. There are enough great things I can say about all the staff and the teachers! They truly care and that is obvious. Our daughter loves checking if it is a school day and looks forward to her time with them. We are so very thankful to have TGP be a part of our lives!

I use the gym facilities (including the eGym system which is very cool), and we have thought about taking advantage of some of the childcare options they offer like "parents night out" The place hasn't changed a ton since it first opened. The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

I often come here with individuals with special needs and both the staff and members look and treat them like they're absolutely disgusted. You'd think an area known for its money would have class. Unfortunately, from my experiences here; that is the furthest from the truth. Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. YMCA, you have disappointed myself and many others within my community. Do better.
