We learned so much about the different corals and how to properly care for them. The variety is amazing, and the prices are so affordable for such beautiful, vibrant, healthy, and well-cared-for coral frags. You can tell there is a genuine passion for reefing here! We'll definitely be back once our nano reef tank is ready for more corals! We couldn't recommend Coral Collectors highly enough. First impression; amazed and speechless…read more Jason is the embodiment of a skilled reefer, his knowledge, care and love for the hobby reflects greatly on his inventory of corals. He does not shy away from helping guide newbies to the hobbies on good practices for a successful reef tank. Most sellers would not take the time to educate on good practices and just care about sells but NOT Jason. His costumer service has exceeded my expectations; in and out his shop his customer service does not end. When he says, "text me if you have questions." he means it. I was very hesitant about starting corals since I am still fairly new to the hobby and many people recommended not to do coral due to amount of attention to detail that comes with in. After his reassurance, guidance and help I decided to push forward. Prior to purchasing my first corals he informed to do a major water change to get rid of the "bad" water and to replace it with some established water which he kindly to offered. I am extremely happy and thankful for his generous support. 100% would highly recommend! TIP: Please call or text him prior to arriving to confirm availability.

I had just finished my shift at work nearby and wondered if there were any good saltwater stores nearby. I searched on Yelp and found this place. The store is run in a townhome and the only way you would know about it is by word of mouth or looking online, so it truly is a hidden gem ;). Jason was fantastic! He has a nice little setup that has one of the most amazing collection of corals I've seen in a compact space. If you're an sps guy like me, then this is the place to go to. He also has a nice variety of lps and softies. All of the corals are in great health and are thriving. I bought with confidence! Jason also has amazing prices on his selection of livestock and dry goods so it really is hard to complain about anything. He was really accommodating on my visit and made sure to answer any questions I had. If there is something that isn't there and you would like to get your hands on, just let him know and he will get it for you. I can't believe I drove by this place so many times without taking the time to drop by. I'm really glad I found this place as I will be back very soon for another splurge! It is hard to leave this place without wanting to buy something! Thanks Jason! Edit: also a tip, it would be a good idea to give him a call before arriving to see if he is available to open shop as he is in and out of shop sometimes.

Carlos is truly a huge asset to the Extreme Marine team, and his dedication to his customers really stands out. We're grateful to have someone like him to turn to as we continue learning and growing in this hobby. Thank you, Carlos, for always being so patient, educational, and kind. I have never been in a fish store before that had every single tank kept with substrate and plants (freshwater) as you would keep them at home. Every tank looked wonderful. We had stopped by driving back from Cambria to LA and picked up two female electric blue rams. They had been quarantined in the shop already for 3 weeks and looked great. We got those, some Java moss, some feeder snails for our Congo puffer and some frozen bloodworms. If you want your House Flooded With DISGUSTING FISH WATER then HIRE WENDELL!…read moreI'll just go ahead and leave here my text response to Wendell after all he bothered to say to me via text is sorry about the mix up/mess hope we get invited back after his inexperienced staff flooded my hard wood floors with dirty aquarium water! In the pictures you can see the towels are soaked and this was after we had already went through a pile worth of towels trying to clean my floors. Wendell, Mix up...I am absolutely disappointed in today's service I hope Celeste, Shivani, & the other mgr who wasn't even Zach who you promised to show up each got to keep the 20's I gave them. Because yes I still paid, a lot of this could've been avoided by better communication and you sending experienced employees in cleaning. I expected you this morning and with less than a hours notice you tell me you are sending two of your employees, when I hired & called you and expected you. Never was there any mention of you sending someone else in our prior conversations. You sent me two inexperienced young ladies who didn't even have the supplies they needed, no bleach, not enough towels, & clearly not even large towels in case of an emergency like today. This service was supposed to make my life easier, so my sick husband didn't have to muster the strength to clean the tank. But all this did was leave my home a Nightmare of a mess and we have a wedding to go to so now I need to find time to clean all of my dinning room, entrance and living room floors, as well as the entrance rugs and wash all these disgusting fish water towels that are left in piles. The fact that you did not even apologize on the phone or haven't even called to check back in is completely baffling to us. The text message you just sent in my opinion clearly shows you have no regard for your customers or their experience. At the very least you should've offered to comp this service or a future service i definitely wouldn't have paid had I known this would be your non chalant response. I will just share my response and photos on yelp. I paid because at the end of the day it wasn't these poor girls fault that they weren't prepared or trained properly or sent with enough help or proper supplies. I even asked them if he had showed them the pictures or videos I had sent him of my tank prior to them agreeing to come at which they stated no. So save your money and go with someone more reliable in the South Bay because I'm all about small businesses but this one has no respect for your property or time!
