Ambiance setting match the quality of the food that was served, simply outstanding! Staff were helpful and attentive. If you are seeking for fresh flavorful food this is your spot. Recommend going early for dinner for the place gets full fast.

This place was okay. The only saving grace to this place was the salmon being perfectly cooked and the pear sauce being really good. Everything else was meh. The paella was slapped onto this plate the original dish looked better without the waiter just plopping it onto this plate. Also all seafood except the squid was overcooked on the paella.

The food was amazing, the services was good. We enjoyed the food so much we went back a 2nd time while on vacation. You can't go wrong if you enjoy seafood and Authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.

So good! Tucked away from the business our tourist, this place was amazing. We got there on the later side but they sat us with open arms. Serving staff and host were all very welcoming. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Drinks were good as well! Was difficult to tell the atmosphere from the pictures but more upscale. Will be coming back!

Beautiful main dining room in an old house.

This is the easiest review ever: Elevated dining with classic Caribbean comfort food recipes. The service, ambiance and representation of the island was present from the moment you walked in. The food itself was worthy of spending all afternoon tasting and enjoying dishes. But I only had an hour and enjoyed every bite! I will be back!

We were searching for a restaurant nearby the Airbnb we were staying at, and we found Mar Del Caribe. The reviews and pictures looked promising, and I could never turn down seafood! The restaurant was clean, and we were luckily able to get seated immediately with 7 people. The service was amazing and so attentive- never had an empty wine or water glass! As for food, 4 of us shared Paella de Mariscos It was seasoned and cooked well with plenty of seafood, including prawns, lobster, squid, mussels, fish. It came out in a large hot pan, and they plated table side- It was such a big portion! Tostones and Chorizo Al Vino were good starters.

This little hole in the hell yeah! will leaving you feeling like island royalty. In the mood for super fresh, well-prepared seafood? Want a little white tablecloth treatment? Do you enjoy being waited on with the utmost care and attention to detail? This is the spot!! The service here is impeccable! I mean I have never seen food and drinks come so seamlessly while plates and silverware were cleared by the invisible man. The ceviche was an abundant pile of gloriously fresh fish. I asked for more bread to finish it off. I also had the Lobster Thermidor. It was as big as my head and delicious down to the last bite. My margaretes were strong and tasty. Treat yourself to this adorable, authentic place.

    Amazing!!!

My friend and I had dinner at this restaurant last night. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The white table cloths and quartet of waiters in black suits working as a team gave this place a formal and elegant feel. It was pricey but worth it for a fun and special dinner out in San Juan!

We arrived at 11am on a Monday because that's when we thought they opened. They actually opened at 11:30am, so we were 2nd in line at 11am. Once 11:30am rolled around, the line was very long. It's an old house that was transformed into a restaurant. It's pretty big in there and they have an upstairs as well. It really feels like you're eating in a Caribbean home, from the colorful tablecloth to the things on the tables. The menu is on a board, and they have a Spanish and English version. They give you a cup of complimentary plantain soup which was amazing. We also ordered the fried cheese app which came with a delicious guava sauce. For mains, I had the fried pork with tostones and my husband had the mamposteado (corned beef, fried eggs, and rice). My husband cleaned his plate, while I took leftovers back to the hotel (which we actually ate later because it was that good). They were out of tres leches that day, so we had the coconut pudding for dessert. It was my first time trying coconut pudding and it did not disappoint! For drinks, we had the passionfruit sangria. When we left, there was a very long line outside. Despite the line, they did not rush us out. Definitely recommend and would go out of my way to come back next time I'm in PR.

There are so many spots that are authentic and incredible, but La Casita Blanca stands out in its own lane. It's gotten more popular and touristy over the years, but that's because they've stayed true to who they are. The authenticity here hasn't changed, and that's exactly why people keep coming. This is the kind of place where the menu brings you right back to your upbringing. You'll find dishes like corned beef, tostones con bacalao, and other classics that just hit differently. And the vibe? It feels like family. Someone who looks like your aunt might be cooking your food, your cousin might be serving it, and everyone treats you like you belong there. Food-wise, everything we had was fire. One of the people I was with is basically an "aguacateologist," and even he said it was one of the best he's ever had. That alone says a lot. Chuletas fried to a perfect golden crisp. The pollo fricasé (pollo guisado, if you know, you know) was on point and even came in a little pot that made it feel extra homey. Arroz con gandules? Off the hook!!!! And to top it all off, they had salsa playing in the background... which honestly had me sold the moment I walked in. Disclaimer/Warning; There will be a line!!! And if you're lucky enough to get a table, sit back and enjoy every second of it.
