And for the stuff that they don't have in stock, Maplins has a massive catalog and they will be able to order it for deliver to your home or to the shop. I have been here a couple of times and it's located about a thrid of the way down Castle Meadow. Once you go through the front door it's located on the first floor which makes it difficult if you have pushchair. Once in there though the actual shop isn't that big but it holds all electrical cables, batteries, computer, audio and television equipment. Some of their products are over priced but I have had a good bargain from there in the past. Maplin is a real gadget shop. Great for boys and their toys. A huge range of electrical accessories is available. Batteries, cables, torches, computer accessories, car electrics, disco lighting, radio equipment, electrical connectors etc. The list is endless. It is situated opposite he castle mall entrance on Castle Meadow. The staff are helpful, but it can get a bit busy so you might need to wait for help sometimes. read more

Situated right outside Castle Meadow, this place is a goldmine if you need to get anything electronic based in a hurry. From batteries to computer parts, its all here. Worst experience I've ever had. Went in to buy a external HDD for my PS4. I select one (the same one I use for my Xbox and my brother uses for his PS4 after extensively researching). I have first hand experience of it working. I go to buy it and he says it won't work. I tell him it will and it has. He proceeds to argue with me at which point I just walk away and tell him that I'll buy on Amazon. read more
