The worth of your safety, sleep, time, and financial means? Divorce and custody matters can be life altering. One choice can greatly change the course and outcome. Making the right choices are difficult when you are scared, vunerable, or facing the complex issues that are common during a family law matters. However, the single MOST IMPORTANT choice you will make in a family law matter is who you choose to represent you. Last year I cringed, with my stomach in knots, at the thought of hiring another lawyer. After four years of suffering through constant litigation, I said enough. I began researching, and was on a mission to find the best law firm for our family, particularly for our children. We needed someone that understood high conflict. We needed someone who cared about what really is in the best interest of the children. We needed someone that understood our past legal experiences, and our need to feel we could trust again. Today, we couldn't be more happy and relieved with the choice we made. I could say all the things that help you feel warm and fuzzy. I could say all the things Evans Family Law greatly possesses and surpasses- Professionalism, efficiency, tactfulness, communication, strategy, and attention to detail. Or, I could just say what is most important. We hired the best person to represent our family, and most importantly our children. I absolutely believe our custody matter was treated as if it were our lawyers own. Evans Family Law settled our ongoing high conflict case, carried us through the adoption process and ensured our children will have a future that aligns with their best interest. A future that includes an actively involved, nuturing, and supportive father. Most importantly, they enabled us to gain our joy and quality of life again. We will recommend Evans Family Law over and over again. I will never find adequate words to describe how grateful we are. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Jimmy, Jenni, Katherine and the entire firm at Evans Family Law Group.

I don't want this to happen to anyone else. (Ms. Bustos dropped my case at the last minute, after burning her way through my line of credit entirely). She will not protect you. She will not do the work you pay her for. And I am not the only person she has done this to either. This is a family business, run by Attorney Caitlin Haney Johnston, and her sister Amber, with the rest of the team. I learned after residing in Texas for the last five years, that my will and trust from California were invalid in Texas. That was an unpleasant awareness, as it took quite a bit of time to prepare those documents. My job offered "MetLife-Prepaid Legal" as an annual benefit. MetLife even offered an affordable family plan. So we made the call, discussed our needs and shortly thereafter, we were reviewing the draft documents and signing our finals. We needed a Spanish translation for one of our family members. No problem, as their Paralegal Celeste speaks Spanish fluently. The office visit was amazing. They were so patient and understanding with all our questions. Not once did I feel rushed. It was like talking to a family member that knew the law. Over all it was a great experience, and a weight off my shoulders. I can't praise them enough how they helped me breathe easier knowing that this matter was done. Thank you Caitlin, Amber and Celeste for your professional help with this matter. We truly appreciate y'all. Michael C. - Georgetown

During the lead up to our hearing, they were in constant communication with us, made sure we knew exactly what to expect and helped us gather all of the information both they, the Ad Litem (Court appointed attorney) and the judge needed. Flash forward... I can NOT believe how supremely prepared Caitlan Haney Johnston (our attorney) was for the Probate Hearing. Both the witnesses and I were thoroughly prepped for the testimony we would be expected to give and, by the time we walked into the courtroom, we were all completely comfortable with what to expect. The hearing went exactly as we were told it would by Caitlan and she stayed with us to make sure all of the post hearing paperwork was filled out correctly including the stamped copies of the judge's orders. The next day I received both calls and emails from Amber (the amazing paralegal) and Caitlan making sure we knew exactly what the court expects of us and the time lines. I could not have asked for more!!! The Haney Law Firm is the absolute "Best of the Best!!!"

As a father going into family court, I was genuinely worried about what the next couple of years would look like and, most importantly, what my relationship with my daughters would look like when it was over. Becca and Jordan were there through all of it. They were honest with me even when the answer wasn't what I wanted to hear, knew when something was worth fighting over, and were incredibly responsive. There were even weekends when I would send something expecting an answer on Monday and hear back that same day. I don't like saying anyone "wins" a family law case because there really aren't winners when a family is being divided. But the results speak for themselves. I came out of the case with 50/50 custody of my daughters, while my house, vehicles, bank accounts, and separate property remained protected. If I could go back to the beginning of this case and read a review from another father who had been through something similar, this is what I would have wanted to know: Becca and Jordan will be honest with you, they will prepare, they will answer your questions, and when something needs to be fought for, they will fight for you. I'm extremely grateful I had them in my corner, and I would recommend them without hesitation.
