The auto shop didn't have any luck communicating with him either, apparently he was done. Sure, these guys work hard and at strange hours, but they could still work on customer service and listening skills.

When I contacted the company to retrieve it, they demanded $750 in impound fees. I paid the full amount they requested. Despite accepting my payment, they refused to release the vehicle, citing a title issue. What they failed to disclose before accepting my money was that they would not release the car regardless of payment. This is fundamentally deceptive. They had two honest options -- accept payment and release the vehicle, or refuse payment upfront. Instead they chose a third option that benefited only them -- they took my money and kept the car. This practice may violate Washington State consumer protection laws and UTC tow company regulations. If you are dealing with this company, I strongly recommend: * Getting everything in writing before paying anything * Asking explicitly whether they will release your vehicle before handing over any money * Contacting the Washington UTC at utc.wa.gov if you experience similar treatment I wish someone had warned me. Jenn texted me in the afternoon to check in and ensure that someone had come to tow my vehicle. After learning that it was not towed yet, they were able to get a tow truck out here ASAP and tow my vehicle to the dealership. Not once, but TWICE, tow companies canceled on me claiming they "didn't have the proper equipment" to tow my car. All they did was waste my time while I sat there stressed, exhausted, overheated, and scared. My Porsche was damaged due to undercarriage impact damage and an oil leak, and apparently every other tow company acted like my car required some impossible fancy setup. Then came Charlie and his amazing wife. Within less than 15 minutes, he showed up calm, compassionate, professional, and actually KNOWING what he was doing. Charlie didn't start my car and risk further damage. He carefully hooked, secured, and loaded my vehicle properly and safely got it to Porsche of Tacoma with zero issues. DID NOT DRAG MY CAR HOOKED IT ADDED THE SKATES/GO JACKS ON MY BACK WHEELS. THAT is what professionalism, experience, and genuine customer care looks like.
