Has been my Dr for years, he knows NOTHING about me, well except for once being dependant on…read moreopiates since receiving them from Dr. Tomchick in my teens (at this exact office PA)!! Shamed me into stopping mat (ZERO education on this topic btw) as well, so much fo not judging and HELPING his patients. I'd highly recommend to go elsewhere. Ive been given the same questionnaires at every appointment (every 3 months) and that's my whole appt, besides making sure I'm exercising as im a big girl (from meds which he KNOWS) Dr. Swieger has done nothing but make me feel horrible about myself in so many ways Last straw...cut off pysch meds cold turkey. Called for a refill, got denied. I called back and asked if this was safe. He was out of office, got a call back saying "no, that's not safe at all to stop those meds, you need to make an appointment" lmfao, SERIOUSLY?? YEAH, NO!! Found an amazing Dr who said he was wrong, period. I should've gotten pretty sick withdrawing from my pysch meds, but i got very lucky. I will be telling as many people and platforms as I can at this point for the horrible way I was treated by this person. I'm the 4th person in my family to be treated this way and forced to leave for our own health and well-being. Oh wait one more...I asked very nicely if I could have labs done to check a couple things (vitamins and iron level) I was concerned about, he told me no . Asked my new Dr, "absolutely". He needs to step down before someone gets really hurt.

Valley Medical Center is TERRIBLE. You think you'll like your PCP, but they end up sending you…read morepurposely to facilities that will cost you a lot of $$ out of pocket, unknown to you unless you have the 'codes' of each facility and call your insurance to double check. I was charged over $600 because they sent me to an OUTPATIENT facility to get an ultrasound unaware to me, because WHY WOULD YOUR PCP EVER DO THAT TO YOU!?! My insurance even noted how scammy it was and apologized and opened an internal claim. I would have been charged $0 if they sent me to a normal place like how my other doctors have done for the past 10 years. DO NOT GO THERE. I don't care if you've seen good reviews, as I did have a fine experience with my PCP, but they are a scam company. My insurance even noted that I should be able to negotiate the costs given how they were grossly incompetent. On top of that, the billing department kept saying I need to 'three way' my insurance, but then after spending an hour trying to do that because the billing department kept hanging up, they noted that they couldn't. Colleen, Amy, Christine and more from the billing department, thank you for showing us how much of a scam this hospital is!

This review is regarding their Urgent Care department, since that's what I went for…read more New to the Covington area. I had a horrible fever, cough, and colourful mucus out of nowhere Friday night, and called them first thing on Saturday morning to see if they accepted my insurance. (Really, you should do this before going to any urgent care, because they all seem to accept different plans.) Once I heard they accepted my insurance I went straight over. I arrived Saturday at 9:00 am. There was only one other person in front of me. Filling out new patient forms/waiting to be seen only took about 20 minutes. The girls at the desk were very kind and pleasant. The assistant that took my vitals was also very pleasant and nice. She let me know about the "My Chart" program, but a lot of places now do this. They have contracts with the site to sign people up, so you can just decline if you don't want it. After vitals, my wait time in the checkup room was about 10 minutes. I was seen by Audra Burdulis, a Nurse Practitioner. She was incredibly warm and pleasant to me right out of the gate. I usually feel like an idiot having to go to any urgent care, because I so rarely get sick that I never know what's wrong with me, and feel like the biggest arse spouting out my complaints. She listened very patiently and empathized with me. She looked at my eyes, in my mouth, ears and throat, and felt along my neck and face. She diagnosed me with a severe upper respiratory infection/pre bronchitis. I had to bring up the humiliating fact that I can't swallow pills, and she wasn't put off or annoyed at all. She prescribed me all liquids and sprays, and explained how to use each one and which ones not to take at the same time. She implored me to call back if I had any change of symptoms or if I had any concerns, and they phoned in my prescriptions to the pharmacy I requested before I even left the office. I have a bit of a road to recovery ahead of me, but my experience with this facility was wonderful.
