As a full time working mother, finding the best school at fair pricing was my top priority. I have to say that Crouthers exceeded my expectations and hopes. The staff is caring, attentive, interactive, and you can tell they truly care about the children. I have no doubt that this is because they learn from the top down. Leslie Crouthers, the owner, is very involved with both the Chesterfield and the Eureka locations. She is hands on, has been in the child care and school industry for decades, has two daughters of her own, and is a genuinely good soul with a child's best interests at the forefront of every decision. I am blessed and honored to be able to have let my son attend this amazing school for so long. It will be hard when he graduates next year to go to Kindergarten. But I know that he will be prepared and ready thanks to Crouthers exceptional teaching staff and dedication.

I then selected DCC due to the intimate nature and therefore the health protections and small class size that DCC provides. We have little to no interruptions like many of my friends and the communication is amazing. But the most important thing to realize is that DCC is not a daycare it is a community! The teachers do not see their role as a job but love the children and want to see them develop. Parents give of their time because they believe in the DCC and the community it creates. And the children see DCC as a home away from home and thrive. I could not recommend DCC more!

Occasionally in the mornings the classrooms are combined with different teachers. Out of all the teachers I've ran into I have loved them all! They are sweet to my son and are always encouraging to him! Their meals are healthy and give the children opportunity to try anything and everything. They change diapers every few hours whether the child really needs one or not to keep the child dry at all times. My son started talking around a year but in the past year and a half his language has blown me away. They work everyday to teach the kids something new. If your looking for a school that will really get your child ready to go to kindergarten, while also giving him love and support this is the school for you. I also have to brag on the administration. Ms. Yan is such a nurturing person. I still remember one day when I went to pick her up and opened the door; Ms. Yan was playing with dolls with her. Even though my daughter was the last one to stay there, she was still having fun. As she got older and moved to different classrooms, Kita, Lauren, and all the other teachers were so kind. The various themed activities were enriching, and they would also suggest activities to do at home, which was very helpful for us. Additionally, the management team, Shuai and Michele, were incredibly supportive. They communicated with us frequently and in advance. Their dedication and passion were evident. They genuinely cared about our child's health and development, which was reassuring for parents like us. I believe this is a perfect place if you are looking for full-time childcare with a well-organized system. If you are seeking a part-time spot, this may not be the best choice, as they only offer full-time options. I actually think this is beneficial because it ensures consistency. They also have an app system that provides almost real-time updates about your child, which we appreciated greatly. We had to leave because we were moving out of state, but until the last day, my daughter enjoyed her time there. We are truly grateful for the wonderful experience our daughter had and highly recommend this center to other families seeking a nurturing and reliable childcare environment.

Writing a review of a daycare is difficult, because there are so many different types of people…read moreinvolved. The teachers at the goddard school are great, the families are great. This review is about the management, and more specifically the owner. In my years of experience in daycares/ preschools I have never worked under anyone as disrespectful as her. Many of the teachers in that building expressed the same feelings about the management to me in my time there. I worked at Goddard for two and a half years, and was a lead teacher for a large portion of that time. I won't claim to be the best teacher ever, there are absolutely areas I could've approved in, but I was a good one. One who cared and put a lot of effort into assuring the kids in my care were safe and happy and learning. I wouldn't have worked there for so long or been promoted from resource teacher, to assistant, to lead if I wasn't. Then, one day after informing the bosses that I had an interview at another Goddard closer to my home, I was fired. The owner and the assistant director pulled me into the office and berated me with blatant lies about my job performance for half an hour before terminating me. This happened during nap, never even giving me the opportunity to say goodbye to the kids I cared for for so long. The owner told me herself that she spoke with the director at the other Goddard giving her "opinion" of me, and then unsurprisingly I did not get that job either. If you are considering bringing your children to this school or working here, keep this in mind: when I went to the owner looking for help in figuring out how to teach a child much younger than most of my other students, she told me "from a financial standpoint, I would put an even younger child in there if your room was the one with space for them". I believe a school should focus on what is best for the children, not only what will make them the most money.
