A small lounge located in the San Francisco International Airport Terminal 2. Meager offerings and crowded with people. We stayed a little while and then decided to look for the United Club at another gate area.

Great spot with a modern art vibe and a layout that's ideal for work or rest. Food-wise, it's better than your average United Club, even if it's not quite Centurion level. The bar coffee service was also excellent. Plus, the staff is friendly from the second you step through the door.

Date: Saturday, October 18th, 2025 Time: around 8:30pm How Accessed: Chase Sapphire Reserve Card Flying: United *Salad *Chicken Caesar Wrap *Lemon Rosemary Chicken *Gnocchi Zuppa Toscana *Brussels Sprouts *Glass of Bubbles I had a flight at 9:30pm and I was starving. Even though my flight was leaving out of Terminal 3, I hauled a$$ to Terminal 2 to grab a quick drink and food. Tried basically almost everything in their baby buffet. At that time, there wasn't much, but this spot isn't crowded at all. Very simple and clean. The bartender was super sweet. I was in and out in less than 30 mins. I'm not sure why, but all I had to do was scan my boarding pass and the the gates opened. No need to show my reserve card or anything. Maybe cuz I booked my flight thru the Chase portal? I don't know, but it was super easy to get in. Nice lounge if flying out of Terminal 2. Probably wouldn't make the trek from 3 again unless I had a lot of time. REVIEW #3872

    Another view of the outdoors!

The nearby United Club lounge in E was at capacity, so the staff suggested that I walk to the Maple Leaf Lounge, supposedly 3 minutes away. While I'd argue that the elevator bay is 3 minutes away, it can take a little longer to wait for the elevator! Once you get there, I can tell you that the walk is worth it! I feel like I've been missing out. While United Club has been cutting back on food, the Maple Leaf Lounge has real protein options. And, because Air Canada has less flights, the lounge is no where near capacity. The outdoor patio was a nice surprise -- no smoking allowed here, so even better! What a nice way to get away while at the airport!

it was a great alternative to the United club at SFO. The united club was packed, so the employee recommended I head to the maple leaf lounge. It was clean, quiet and plenty of seats. It even has an outside lounge. great place and a great alternative to the united club. The food was great!

So I've invested a lot of butt in seat with United Airlines and United Clubs. Today I stopped by the Maple Leaf Lounge at SFO. All I will say is I love this place more than Polaris lounges. The lounge itself is not crowded, the food is actually good, and there is a good variety of dining options. My favorite thing? The outdoor patio. You can relax, have a drink, sit by the heater and watch the planes come and go. This place is a true gem! (I've never rated an airport lounge this high)

Echo most of the reviews here - what a great lounge! Chase Reserve got me in, nice food options (breakfast) and lots of seating. Not crowded at the time I went. I did see shower rooms available, enclosed work spaces, TV rooms, as well as a bar that opens and serves alcohol starting at 11am. But for sure the superstar is the terrace with amazing views of the tarmac, control tower, and San Francisco Bay. Heat lamps and fire pits as well. Well worth it, I will be back!

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is a wonderful surprise! With United Airlines fully occupying SFO Terminal 3 (E & F Gates) and with overcrowded United Clubs in E & F, I was hoping United would add a club at Terminal 2 (D gates) since United has expanded into D. Nope. With Star Alliance Gold status, frequent fliers can access the Maple Leqf Lounge in D. It offers a superior club anyway. I've been inside a few times and here are the advantages: No crowds (at least when I've been there at night), plenty of variable seating arrangements and areas with lots of outlets. Pleasant and helpful staff from the front, the food crew, the staff cleaning tables quickly, and the bartender (who let me taste test the complimentary wines). Liquor is also complimentary. The tidy food section is not large but has a tasty selection of soups, salads, an entree or two, desserts and coffee machines. What truly elevates the lounge is the outdoor terrace with sweeping tarmac views. There are even fire pits for famous San Francisco foggy and chilly evenings. It's a great respite from the rush of the airport crowds. SFO Maple Leaf Lounge is known as one of Air Canada's top clubs. Its relaxing, upscale ambience truly excels.

Delicious food and drinks. My bf and I tried this beautiful aesthetic bar. We will definitely come here again. The food is great, the drinks are presented beautifully and upbeat music is playing!! The service is so timely with a wonderful waiter / bartender

3.5 rounded up to 4**** Nice lounge. Full bar. Lovely views. I'd say this place is more about the ambiance than anything else. I thought the food was not the best. While it was most definitely edible, I didn't bother taking pictures. I'm sure the food changes or rotates on a regular basis anyways. The setup is lovely; plenty of seating, heaters on the terrace to keep you warm if you wish to go outside. Plenty of plugs and outlets, private workspaces and the decor is minimalist but appealing. can't forget the restrooms, extremely clean & inviting. Cheers!

There was a wait list with an expected wait time of 30 mins but I got a call within 15 mins that a spot had opened up and was ready for me. The lounge itself is on the floor above and there are steps and elevator leading to it. The place is large, there are restrooms, light therapy rooms, private rooms, private nooks, several dining tables, couple of drink stations, a full fledged bar with seating in front of it, about three stations for food etc. Food options had a couple of soups, bread station, fermented veggie section, a couple of mains covering both vegetarian and non vegetarian options, salads, desserts and some hummus and pita bread for appetizers. This was no cruise ship style spread and the options were fairly limited but plenty satisfactory. They had some barley for carb option which was uncooked but other than that everything was decent. There were several waiters cleaning up after people pretty promptly and the place was maintained well. There was a huge table smack dab in the center with books and I was disappointed to find that they were all props. Overall I managed to relax and grab some food to eat before my red eye flight. One thing I would recommend is arriving at the airport at least three hours early if you plan on visiting the lounge. I only had two hours before my flight, and I ended hp being on the app waitlist for an hour before getting in. The lounge can get busy, so plan ahead to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without feeling rushed.

On Friday afternoon of what for many is an important holiday weekend (Easter), the Centurion Lounge was limiting access and using an online waiting list. I hold the Platinum Card® (primary cardholder). I had to wait about 20 minutes to enter. I checked in to the queue by scanning a QR code at the door (there are different codes for each type of cardmember, so if the sign with the codes is up, be sure to scan the right one). After you scan, you'll be taken to an online form to fill out. You'll get an email or text to confirm you're on the waitlist, and another with a QR code when it's your turn to enter. Once you get your code, go to the reception desk and show your QR code and boarding pass. If it's busy, you'll be asked to choose a table or seat appropriate to your party size (i.e., if you're alone, don't take a table for four). It is a nice space, with a variety of seating. After the wait, I didn't have a lot of time to explore before I needed to be at my gate, so I went right for the food. Food quality was good, but not stellar. I was able to get some nice chicken and a vegetable. Had to try something sweet, so I got a chocolate-dipped coconut macaroon. THAT was really good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They were staffed well enough that tables were getting cleaned promptly as soon as people left. They do have a bar, but given time pressure, I didn't get anything. I don't fly out of SFO all that often, so I don't know when I'll get an opportunity to give the Centurion Lounge another chance. But I do hope that once Terminal 3 is renovated and they're back in their regular location, I might have a better experience.

One caveat though that Jamie W and I discovered was that if your flight leaves from International Area A, you're given access to this business class lounge instead. That's because it's a rather excessive 25-minute walk away from the United Polaris Lounge in International Area G. When we asked the check-in agent whether this lounge was comparable to Polaris, he gave it an 8 out of 10. He was being much too generous. It turned out to be a claustrophobic two-room space where ironically, the first-class room was more cramped than the general area. There were barely any outlets, and it was so tight that the rotating chairs kept banging into each other. There were three warmers of hot Chinese food, but none of it was that tempting. We managed to snack on stale cookies and diet soft drinks. There was a full staff operating here, but the experience didn't really warrant that level of attention. I think the next time, we'll just build in the extra time to get back and forth from Polaris if we really want the more ideal lounge experience. RELATED - Waiting at the airport? Shrimp orzo with saffron was tasty with three large prawns. The wild mushroom bourguignon bouchée was my favorite with the meaty sautéed mushrooms layered on top of a puff pastry and covered with the boursin sauce. I would order it again. Polaris signature burger was a consistent go to for at least one of us. Juicy beef, crispy bacon and grilled onions on a brioche bun was filling. Lastly dessert choice was the matcha panna cotta and it disappointed as the matcha was just a tiny layer at the bottom of the glass so no discernible flavor. At least the grapefruit topper was juicy along with the sesame crumble were both the highlight. Great service from Elsa through our meal! Hopefully it doesn't get more crowded after all the fare changes United made to get more paying customers for Polaris.
