Food bar: hot pasta, tater tots, meatballs
    Richard H.

Located just outside of the International security gates on the 4th floor. This is one of the better options, considering that the Virgin Atlantic lounge has cutback on their food choices. This place lounge has a spacious seating area, with great views of the airport runway. Hot foods bar: pasta, delicious meatballs, sautéed tomatoes, cut cuts, hot soup, tater tots. Self serve mixed drinks bar, canned sodas, self serve fruit cooler. This lounge has two unisex restrooms and free WiFi!

This is a small lounge but thankfully was not busy. The food was just OK. Some of it was room temp. They have a few drinks available as well but too small to call it a bar. Very friendly staff.

Located in the international terminal A. Hubby & I attempted to use our Priority Pass Sunday. We were waiting in the hallway for them to open at 7am. At 6:40am someone from the lounge came out to inform us they're not taking PP card holders until probably 10:30am as they needed to accommodate Air India lounge members whose lounge is being built next door. To his credit he did tell us to go to Club SFO which is nearby. Go back & take the down escalator and make a left hand turn. By Gate B4.

This was my first time having access to an airport lounge, as my back pain required a lay flat seat for a long International flight so I upgraded to business class. The lounge mainly seemed like a small self serve cafeteria to grab a quick bite, coffee, tea, or alcoholic beverage. I wasn't hungry so just had a cold soda and left. The tables were crowded together so didn't look particularly relaxing. I opted to relax in a more a spacious area of the international departures where I could lie down and rest my back.

Food was a 3 and acceptably good. Ambience with the view was a 4, but the lounge felt like it's not invested in for improvements. It's a bit tired and worn. The espresso maker was broken, the urinal in one of the bathrooms was taped over and out of service. The floors were sticky, the staff seemed uninterested in being there. The styles of chairs were all the same so there were no comfort options for hanging out longer. It was fine, but far from premium.

We had a great experience at the Golden Gate Lounge. It is a bit small but there's fresh and delicious food and plenty of drink options. The beef meatballs hit the spot and warmed my soul up. There's pasta on the side that's already seasoned for vegetarian options. The sandwiches were ok and they had a good meat and cheese selection. There's plenty of snacks and alcohol options as well if you are looking for something lighter. I appreciated the environmentally friendly plates and utensils. Everyone was quiet, respectful and mostly bused their own tables. Staff are very kind and refill food very often. We enjoyed this lounge and would come again!

Decent lounge to grab a small bite and relax at for a bit, don't come with any high expectations. The lounge is quite small, so I'm sure it can be quite hectic during busy hours. I was at SFO for a 11 AM flight on a Monday and it was pretty empty. The staff were friendly and the food was decent, they served basic breakfast items, I got the ham and cheese sandwich, scrambled eggs, sausage, veggies, and salad. They also served fresh fruit and Greek Yogurt with fruit in the fridge.

It's OK. We arrived at SFO today and are able to finally use the Priority Pass entry into the Golden Gate Lounge. While they allowed us into the lounge (which was only about 25-30% full), as PP holders, we are asked to leave at 6pm "to allow for business class members". I don't really get it - when we left, the place was still barely half full - why can't they serve PP members past 6pm is beyond my understanding. Of note, the staff were very nice about it - it's just the policy that baffles me... Anyway - nice lounge with decent food. Staff are friendly and seating is decently comfortable. An overall good experience.

Lots of seating. Seats are comfortable. They had little sandwiches and various pastas. The meatballs were so delicious. I kept going back for more. I liked their fruit cups as well! Friendly staff. :)

I'm not sure why all the sub par reviews for this place, but I absolutely loved my time in here. What's not to love? Free Drinks + free food (including desserts) + a self serve alcohol cart that includes hard liquor?? I've been in airport lounges before but not ones where you can pour your own drinks. For this alone, this place deserves 5 stars. Let's talk about the food spread first: Minestrone Soup, Dahl soup, Pasta with Meatballs, roasted veggies, chopped baguette bread, whole croissants, sandwiches (both vegetarian option and turkey on focaccia bread with pesto sauce), tomato salad, greens salad, and a cold cut platter with assorted cheese. I didn't get to try all of this but I did have the meatballs + marinara sauce (no pasta). It was surprisingly good and I don't normally gravitate toward Italian food. The Meatball was huge and tasty, not overly salted. The Turkey Focaccia sandwich with pesto was right up my alley- nicely portioned because it was bigger than bite sized yet small enough where you could eat it all and not get stuffed. Dessert/ Fruit station: Green and Red Apples, Oranges, Quarter sliced Blueberry + Poppyseed muffins, small Chocolate Chip cookies, Cheesecake Brownie bars.... These were all set up on top of a table. Right underneath this table was a glass door fridget that housed the Yogurt cups with sliced berries on top, Fresh Fruit cups, Sprite, Diet Coke, and Coke cans. Also on top of the table were canisters full of Yogurt toppings (Granola + Raisins). Next to the Yogurt toppings were Chex Mix and Nuts. I shared a piece of the Brownie Bar and it was decent. Alcohol Station: White wine, Red wine, Sparking wine + Bottles of Hard Liquor. I was only able to make out the Tito's Vodka because while I don't drink, one of us in our party made a beeline for that that since it's her drink of choice. They also had a mini bucket of ice + tongs + cups set out for you to serve yourself. With all of this, there were bussers coming around to clear your tables as you finished off your plates. The lounge was clean and our private bathrooms passed my standards. Pair that with some strong wifi and I couldn't complain.

We were let in to the lounge despite it being after the time for our pass which was very kind of them. Food was above average for buffet lounge faire. It was very busy and almost every place to charge was taken but it was a wonderful break from the bustle of the airport and the terminals have plenty of places to charge.

    Alice D.

All in all a decent lounge - we came here mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was pretty spacious and easy to find seating. There were a variety of snacks, drinks, alcohol, cold + hot foods (their pasta with meatballs was pretty good) and I think a majority of their stuff was from costco. One thing that could be better is having coffee sleeves for the paper cups for hot drinks. I made some tea and it was really hard to hold my cup while trying to get hot water. The tongs for some of the snacks like their chex mix also made it difficult to grab more than one piece at a time!

Small lounge with long hours. The menu is very international. Clean tables and bathrooms.

The line was okayish (see photo). Took about 10-15m to get to check in desk. The lady at the desk was friendly. She asked me to scan my Priority Pass twice and boarding pass twice (standard, two different scanners). She asked: you just arrived? I said: yes. Then I was motioned to go in. Took the elevator up one floor to access the tables, rooms, showers, bathrooms, food, and bar. Today the hot bar served scrambled eggs with artichokes and spinach, sausage links, diced fruit, chia pudding, and cereal. The other food bar had a pot of oatmeal (with topping options), pot of mushroom congee (kimchi & green onions toppings), bread options (bagels, muffins, sliced bread) with spread options (cream cheeses, pesto, butter, etc). Beverage bar included coffee machine, teas, orange juice, and soda dispensers. The first plate of food was pretty good. I was hungry so happy to have hot food. The sausage was moist and flavorful. My second plate I got a bowl of congee which was unflavorful, but with the kimchi it was fine. I also popped in some sausage. I chose the sliced bread with different spreads. I don't drink regular milk so I had to forgo my latte. I made an espresso and added oat milk, but it was pretty terrible. But if you need caffeine it's something. I didn't have a hard time finding a seat. Other guests were kind and accomodating to each other. Bathroom was busy, and I had to wait a couple minutes. It was decently clean. I only had two hours before my flight, and I ended hp being on the app waitlist for an hour before getting in. The lounge can get busy, so plan ahead to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without feeling rushed.

On Friday afternoon of what for many is an important holiday weekend (Easter), the Centurion Lounge was limiting access and using an online waiting list. I hold the Platinum Card® (primary cardholder). I had to wait about 20 minutes to enter. I checked in to the queue by scanning a QR code at the door (there are different codes for each type of cardmember, so if the sign with the codes is up, be sure to scan the right one). After you scan, you'll be taken to an online form to fill out. You'll get an email or text to confirm you're on the waitlist, and another with a QR code when it's your turn to enter. Once you get your code, go to the reception desk and show your QR code and boarding pass. If it's busy, you'll be asked to choose a table or seat appropriate to your party size (i.e., if you're alone, don't take a table for four). It is a nice space, with a variety of seating. After the wait, I didn't have a lot of time to explore before I needed to be at my gate, so I went right for the food. Food quality was good, but not stellar. I was able to get some nice chicken and a vegetable. Had to try something sweet, so I got a chocolate-dipped coconut macaroon. THAT was really good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They were staffed well enough that tables were getting cleaned promptly as soon as people left. They do have a bar, but given time pressure, I didn't get anything. I don't fly out of SFO all that often, so I don't know when I'll get an opportunity to give the Centurion Lounge another chance. But I do hope that once Terminal 3 is renovated and they're back in their regular location, I might have a better experience.

One caveat though that Jamie W and I discovered was that if your flight leaves from International Area A, you're given access to this business class lounge instead. That's because it's a rather excessive 25-minute walk away from the United Polaris Lounge in International Area G. When we asked the check-in agent whether this lounge was comparable to Polaris, he gave it an 8 out of 10. He was being much too generous. It turned out to be a claustrophobic two-room space where ironically, the first-class room was more cramped than the general area. There were barely any outlets, and it was so tight that the rotating chairs kept banging into each other. There were three warmers of hot Chinese food, but none of it was that tempting. We managed to snack on stale cookies and diet soft drinks. There was a full staff operating here, but the experience didn't really warrant that level of attention. I think the next time, we'll just build in the extra time to get back and forth from Polaris if we really want the more ideal lounge experience. RELATED - Waiting at the airport?
