Anyways we decided that a Specs stop and a bottle of Tequila..... the media was reminding us that it was Tequila month and of course Mother's Day weekend. So Specs it is! Anytime we have any reason to celebrate Specs leads the way. I didn't recognize the vibe of this store. It was a terrible experience!!! Did our Rosenberg Specs forget what Specs is about? There was absolutely no interaction between Specs employees and shoppers. we had 2 Spec employees excuse themselves to go around us 2x's talking between themselves about a test of Agave knowledge while maybe 5 shoppers were seriously engaged in their choice of Tequila. The tequila testing barrel was set up but no one in attendance to say...hey do you know about my tequila? Check out although pretty quick was given by a person or maybe an AI being, because there was no sense of emotion, up or down...Just very mechanical.

I understand the old arizona license design looked almost fake but this ID has the real id mark on it and was 100% real. I look young for a woman in her 30s so I get checking my ID but she had to call a manager to determine if they would accept my ID. They questioned me about everything on my ID before deciding that they would "let this slide" I thought that alot of alcohol stores were trained on many of the state IDS and a simple google search on the phone could of determined if I had a real arizona license. This was my first time at this location as I always Instacart stuff from here but I believe I will stick to just instacart for anything I need from this location here on out.

TotalWine needs to have some WiFi extenders out by their front door with a range to reach their curbside parking. If I have to go inside Total Wine, I might as well go inside of Spec's with is closer to my home. I only go to Total Wine for the convenience of curbside pickup.

They're a smaller store and the vast majority of their selection are the most popular brands that you'll find advertised on television, in magazines, etc. Nothing particularly different or unique. They do have a nice little "beer cave" area where you can walk in and pick up a case of well chilled beers. Once again, mostly the common advertised stuff, but I guess that's what a small suburban store needs to carry when the only regulars are from the neighborhood. I noticed that the majority of the bottles were priced a bit higher than what I've seen them for at other liquor stores, and nothing particularly great in the offerings, so I decided I'd hit somewhere else instead.

They do focus mainly on liquor and you can find low-end to high-end plus he'll place special orders. His prices are reasonable especially for such a small store. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. I even purchased some delicious flauta's his wife prepares on Wednedsay and Thursday's. Nice supporting a local business in the area. Stop in!
