Spec's is a large store that was almost overwhelming when I first walked in. The store is well lite, clean, laid out well with helpful large signs identifying each area. Each area is well organized, prices are clearly marked and wide isles with no isle clutter. They were stocking a couple isles while I was there and they put the empty boxes directly back into a cart to keep clutter off floor. This is the perfect location to visit if you're planning a large party, a small dinner party or an intimate evening for two. I was having a couple friends over and Spec's made it one stop shopping. The selection and variety are impressive across the store. The store is filled with affordable spirits, excellent wine selections, many warm and cold beers, coffees, cocktail mixers, ice cream and many types of finer foods to deli trays. You can even shop for glassware and bar accesories to t-shirts. I found so many types of cheeses, meats, rotisserie half duck, quail, black truffle pizza, tamales, Italian sausages, Scottish smoked salmon, several types of salame, capocolla, summer sausage and charcuterie sampler platters to name just a few items. You have options of frozen prepared foods, fresh precooked items and those items for creating your own delicacy. The employees I dealt with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They appeared to genuinely care about my shopping experience. You can find what you need quickly with the well marked isles but allow yourself time to explore at some point. I'll definitely be back.

Anyways we decided that a Specs stop and a bottle of Tequila..... the media was reminding us that it was Tequila month and of course Mother's Day weekend. So Specs it is! Anytime we have any reason to celebrate Specs leads the way. I didn't recognize the vibe of this store. It was a terrible experience!!! Did our Rosenberg Specs forget what Specs is about? There was absolutely no interaction between Specs employees and shoppers. we had 2 Spec employees excuse themselves to go around us 2x's talking between themselves about a test of Agave knowledge while maybe 5 shoppers were seriously engaged in their choice of Tequila. The tequila testing barrel was set up but no one in attendance to say...hey do you know about my tequila? Check out although pretty quick was given by a person or maybe an AI being, because there was no sense of emotion, up or down...Just very mechanical.

TJ's is a local, privately owned liquor store. It in a strip mall, next door to a gas/conveience…read morestore and very easy to miss. The small strip mall is across from Stripes gas station which is easy to locate. It has a small footprint but carries the liquors most want with several brands of each. The cooler has soft drinks, beers and wine coolers. Great customer service and nice gentleman, assume owner, is attentive and nice to everyone.

We've only been in here twice, and both times it was a conspiracy... no, not a conspiracy, that's just voice dictation errors talking. It was in conjuction with shopping elsewhere in the plaza and we needed some drinks. We do often like to come down to Rosenberg to do a shopping, and end up in this plaza now and again, and so I'm sure there will be a third visit. And having noticed that this pretty cool and pretty cheap liquor store is not on Yelp, I thought I would do something about that.
