My sister and I visited today and had their farm to table lunch. Jeanne is so welcoming and friendly. What a hard worker. Our lunch was complete with tea, water, appetizer, main dish and dessert. All homemade, home grown with flavor combinations that were out of this world! Highly recommend booking a lunch. You won't be disappointed and will definitely leave with a full tummy. They also have a shop in which you can buy their cheeses and goat milk soap they make at the farm. Wish I was here longer to try their dinners! The menu looks awesome! The picture below shows just a sampling of a full plate. It was so good we almost forgot to take a picture before it was gone.

Very disappointing. Great space but poor usage. (It's for sale, so there's that!) Outdoors on…read moreweekends there are a few actual farm market vendors- I bought some delicious fresh Michigan tomatoes there last weekend. And a farm fresh beef vendor was there, who I hope to indulge next weekend. But those two were the only two outside on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Indoors, your you're met with a strong smelling potpourri, because several vendors there are selling homemade candles or potpourri or idk it just made my allergies start dripping. Most all indoor vendors appear to be seniors looking for something to do...there's one craft lady who's trying to sell a wall full of the most gawdy wreaths I've ever seen, another selling crochet kinda towels/linens...a "leather lady" selling vintage Harley leather vests and crap, wildly overpriced. A jewelry gal selling homemade jewelry that's just...not attractive, especially for prices she's asking. It's like stuff my daughter made in day camp, back in the day. Then, of course, there's the candle/ potpourri lady and yet another vendor who seems to think she can (laughably) paint flowers and such on a wine glass from Dollar Tree and charge a (laughable) amount of money for that. So glad these ladies have something to do, but what they are doing is lame. So much better could be made of this place, even as the venue they've intended. They have NO CLUE how to attract and retain really good vendors. CLEARLY! These folks are a joke. And it pains me to say that, because I'm a local, and I want to see this venue succeed. I'd buy it if I could!

Much of menu is grown on the working farm, or comes from the surrounding area of Leelanau. And the lettuce just tastes better. Farm to table also means the menu is ever changing. There are a couple of staples, kale ceasar, chicken torta, beans and broth, their farm board, and of course their home made corn nuts. While beans and broth is simple, our group loves it, homey and flavorful, with their perfect greens side salad. I have generally ordered whatever the fish dish offering is, and it's also been amazing. They also recently opened their market, a bit of an expanded market from the small shop inside the restaurant, as well as sandwiches and bakery items. They have a few small tables. The restaurant does not do reservations. It's usually warm when we visit (this year was an exception) so we don't mind the wait as the long yard is lovely, with seating and a drinks and snack counter.

My first time this year I had an excellent experience, with the beet salad, zucchini fritters, seasonal pasta, and chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious! The last time was not my favorite - I didn't love the risotto or seasonal toast this time, and the last of my sides arrived well after my meal was finished. Unfortunately the shop was also out of my favorite Kari Kari chili garlic crunch I usually stock up on here - hoping they will have it next time! Still a must try in the area, and I can't wait for my next visit.
