You have to let them know in advance whether you want your rooms cleaned daily or every other day. I was naive and said just the towel service and found out that they don't clean anything. The grossest part is that the rim of bathroom washbasin has black stuff growing all around it. I spent twenty minutes cleaning that up with hot water using the free plastic cup. I nearly passed out how much scums it had. Overall it was quiet and lovely. The free breakfast was delicious! But nothing like the European hotels breakfast.

The location in Caro was perfect for day trips to different areas along the shores of Lake Huron. We are also into geocaching and found several within walking distance. Breakfast at the Himelhoch is fresh, plentiful and prepared to order, coffee is hot, and the wrap around porch the perfect setting. The proprietor is also generous with the amenities, offering a hot tub, bonfire, and a fully stocked game room that's always open. Our room was clean, comfortable and cute, bathroom was spacious.
