This is between a 3 and a 4 star, more like a 3.5 star review. I have mixed feelings about the…read moreexperience but lots of positives. I truly believe all the positive reviews and that most people likely have great experience; if someone needed a driving school I am likely to recommend them. I just think that my experience needed a few extra tweaks to get a higher rating, personally. I didn't love that I had to go to their house for pick up and drop off. I often waited for my instructor to go into his house and "use the restroom", get himself a coffee, and started late often. My first lesson, I thought we jumped into things way too fast even though I explained that I had no idea what I was doing (we did a left turn immediately which is a lot for your first ten seconds of driving). My instructor often grabbed my wheel even as the weeks progressed - I did 13 hours total lessons - instead of actually verbalizing what he felt like I was doing wrong. This became very frustrating and I realized it was eroding my confidence versus building it up. What my biggest complaint is overall were the sheer number of errands I was taking on, on my dime, while I sat in the car waiting. I asked time and time again to practice parking, and we did once or twice only. I sat in the car once for over twenty minutes (I'm paying by the minute) while my instructor bought himself a battery. It was infuriating. I once picked up someone for him and drove them both back and my lesson ran over by thirty minutes (was not charged but I was late to pick up my son!) Another thing that happened was the day of my test, I was not in control of the experience at all. They told me to book my G2 at Oakville which really makes no sense and costs me 100s more to travel out there. He also made me book hours ahead of the test to "practice", but didn't end up doing any practicing. (Also, one of the errands we ran one time was to fill the gas tank for one of his students because "you need a full gas tank to take the test", but then for my test we didn't have a full tank so I asked about it, turns out that was total bs lie to get me to run an errand on my dime). Travel time is included in the cost of the G2 test, but he tried to double charge me both for travel time and for "practicing", and it's only because I spoke up that he adjusted it - if I was 16/17, I would have been walked all over. I didn't pass the test even after 13 hours of lessons, and had to do another lesson w a different business to pass. Overall - not the right school for me.

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE G EXAM…read more First of all, their instructors only text you between 10 pm and midnight, which is really unprofessional. But here's what happened to me: Instructor n.1 left a CELLPHONE attached to the windshield during my G2 exam (they use it for recording purposes). The examiner was so furious that it derailed my whole test and I failed. Instructor n. 2 canceled classes 3 weeks in advance saying he had a family emergency. Instructor n.3 simply stopped responding to my messages when I told him I could not take classes on weekdays, as I have a 9-5 job. Instructor n.4 texted me at 11 pm on a Friday to change the schedule of the Saturday class and LIED to me saying that hadn't agreed to the time I proposed. Ultimately he was so completely confused about the day and time of classes and how many hours he should teach me that I completely lost faith in him and in the school. I had no choice but to cancel the classes with Globe Driving Academy. They let me down one week before my G-Full test and it was impossible to get another driving instructor on time. As result, I was feeling so nervous and unprepared during my G Full test that I failed it. If you want a stress-free learning experience, which is key to gaining confidence on the road, stay away from this school. Is not worth your money.

Raza was so patient but also taught me all the skills and foundations I needed to be confident on the road. He was so invested in my success. My previous driver instructors were just not teaching me correctly and I had no idea because I thought that was the standard of teaching. Raza went above and beyond so thank you so much!!!!!

Overall I had a positive experience with AMB. I took package 2. The in-class lessons were good -…read moreour instructor Ejaz was great. Patient with questions, funny, and overall really looking to help students learn. However, the slides/training material/quizes had lots of typos and mistakes, which distracted quite a bit from the course contents, but overall I did feel like I learned what I needed to. Additionally the way to pay was quite confusing - you pay the first $50 by credit card up-front, but the rest of the course you have to by by e-transfer after the in class portion. Felt a little shady/disorganized, but in the end worked out fine. These are the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars. My in car instructor was Amir, and he was fantastic. Friendly, encouraging, and had a great method of teaching where I felt really confident in all the skills by the end. Rather than focusing each class on a specific skill and repeating them over and over, we practiced all the skills every class, which worked really well for me. That way by the end I hadn't forgotten all the skills from the start. Also he picked me up right downtown and we practiced all over the downtown core. I really apprciated practicing in the busy downtown, as now I feel like I can drive anywhere. I started the first in class lesson on April 23, and finished everything including the G2 driving test by June 10 (I was already past the first year after getting my G1) and passed the first time at Toronto Metro East.

I had a very disappointing experience with AMB Driving School…read more We booked a G2 exit package that included lessons and a road test, and we clearly provided the test center location (37 Carl Hall Rd) from the beginning. At no point during booking or payment were we informed about any distance limit or additional travel charges. Just 2 days before the test, we were suddenly told that we had to pay extra because the location is "too far," referring to a 22 km limit that is nowhere clearly stated on their website or booking page. This lack of transparency and last-minute surprise fee is extremely unprofessional and stressful, especially when customers rely on these services for important tests. We even offered to meet the instructor closer to reduce the distance, but they refused to accommodate. Overall, very poor communication and hidden costs. I would not recommend this school unless they improve their transparency and customer service.

Hearing all the positive reviews about Shahid interested me in learning to drive with him, but boy…read morewas i wrong. 1) I paid for a 5 lesson package and he canceled one of my lessons and when we saw each other again, he tried to say I did one of the lessons already. 2) As a learner, we are all learning how to drive and each of us learn differently. When I made mistakes, Shahid would yell at me and put me down. He would compare me to others, say I'm driving like a Chinese person and would also diminish your confidence by bringing up previous mistakes. 3) When he booked my road test, I told him to book it on a Tuesday or Wed. He then decided to book it on a Thursday morning when that was not what I requested. 4) Instead of letting me work on the things I need work on, Shahid would continuously do the same things over and over again. He would make me do 3 point turns multiple times when that's one of my strong suits. 5) When I told him I was going to write a review about him after I pass my road test, he said, "you better write a good one" this means that he probably gets individuals who are good at driving to write him good reviews. 6) They charge way too much money for no reason. 292$ for 5 lessons is insane. They charge tax on everything for no reason. 7) Shahid will sit on his phone and watch instagram reels, call people or just fall asleep instead of teaching you. Of course he would deny that because lucky for him, there is no cameras in the car. Overall, please do not go with Shahid. The Other guys are pretty good, but this guy does not care about you or your driving; he simply wants your money. Go drive with someone who will give you the confidence needed to strive on the road. Good luck everyone!

He really knows his stuff and he's a terrific instructor. I was apprehensive as I had already been treated very badly by another driving school near me. The way I was treated by Zak, however, was the exact opposite. I really look forward to our next lesson. I'm only taking in car refresher classes so I can't speak to the way the rest of the program is run at Today's Driver but if my hour and a half with Zak today is any indication, then this school is definitely worth checking out.
