My son was registered a year ago. He didn't not complete all his theoretical and in car lessons within 1 year. He, in fact, only started his theoretical a month ago. He had a very hard time with his state of mental health in the first year at university to the point where he had to temporarily withdraw. I called to see if there was any accommodation without having to pay $1,000 again. I was transferred to someone who was extremely rude - talking nonstop over me and not expressing any compassion whatsoever. She didn't care to even hear my request - but she took the time to try to lecture me on how this drivers education is the same as university! What a joke. Steer clear of companies like these. No moral compass - it's just about making money. read more

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE G EXAM. First of all, their instructors only text you between 10 pm and midnight, which is really unprofessional. But here's what happened to me: Instructor n.1 left a CELLPHONE attached to the windshield during my G2 exam (they use it for recording purposes). The examiner was so furious that it derailed my whole test and I failed. Instructor n. 2 canceled classes 3 weeks in advance saying he had a family emergency. Instructor n.3 simply stopped responding to my messages when I told him I could not take classes on weekdays, as I have a 9-5 job. Instructor n.4 texted me at 11 pm on a Friday to change the schedule of the Saturday class and LIED to me saying that hadn't agreed to the time I proposed. Ultimately he was so completely confused about the day and time of classes and how many hours he should teach me that I completely lost faith in him and in the school. I had no choice but to cancel the classes with Globe Driving Academy. They let me down one week before my G-Full test and it was impossible to get another driving instructor on time. As result, I was feeling so nervous and unprepared during my G Full test that I failed it. If you want a stress-free learning experience, which is key to gaining confidence on the road, stay away from this school. Is not worth your money. read more

Had the most wonderful experience with Raza and globe driving! After two years and going through two different driving schools and a failed g2 test I thought I was hopeless and I would never learn to drive. Raza was so patient but also taught me all the skills and foundations I needed to be confident on the road. He was so invested in my success. My previous driver instructors were just not teaching me correctly and I had no idea because I thought that was the standard of teaching. Raza went above and beyond so thank you so much!!!!! read more

Irresponsible instructors with little oversight - no scheduling of classes, instructors changing mid-way, " instructors " who sit in the car playing on their phones or having conversations rather than paying attention to your driving or the road.... All I can say is you will get what you pay for here, with this school being cheaper than a few others, and you will regret it. read more

Do not use this company. I arranged for a driving lesson the day of my road test in order to refresh my skills and use their car for the test. the day of the test they never showed up. the driver did not answer his phone. I missed my test. Global Driving academy then refused to refund me the money I lost due to their mistake. and they now ignore my requests. I would suggest people use any other driving school other than this one. read more

This place is a total scam. After the on line lessons, we were completely ghosted by driving instructors. First one booked the lessons and they never showed up and didn't take our calls. Second one did not respond to requests to book. Trying to get my money back is an nightmare. DO NOT use this school they are complete scammers. read more

This company took our money and provided no service. The pandemic hit and they stopped offering in class or in-car training. When we called or emailed them they gave us the run-around. When driving instruction started again in 2021, they said the money we spent had "expired" and offered us the "deal" of paying the full amount again! They may have been taken over by a company called "Online, in-class training, Toronto, Etobicoke, North York". Whoever they are, do not trust them. read more

Very happy with my overall experience at Globe Driving Academy. The staff are great, especially Joanna in the office she is super helpful and friendly. The in class lessons were very informative, and helpful. The star of the show is Raza, the day of my test he erased all my fears and doubts. We had some time before my test, in this time he identified some bad habits I had picked up over time and we addressed those. A driving test can be a very daunting time for anyone, Raza has a clear, calm, effective way of teaching. On the day of my driving test I was nervous, Raza really built up my confidence while making sure I broke the bad habits I had picked up over time. He is absolutely excellent! Kind, caring and very good at what he does. I passed with flying colours thanks to him, I really don't think I would have passed it is wasn't for his guidance. read more

Very happy with my experience with Globe. Had my 20 hours of In-class lessons with Assad and he was a very informative, patient, well-spoken instructor. Had my in-car lessons with Reza and he absolutely made me a better driver and gave solid constructive advice each lesson and made me feel at ease driving. He prepped me properly for my G2 road test and I passed it on my first try! I only deduct one point because in general it might be cheaper to buy your package in person. There seemed to be some cheaper promos at the actual school at St Clair and the online prices were inflated a bit. Also if you are the fence about paying extra to use Globe's car for your actual G2 road test I would advice you to buy a package which includes that option. After 10+ hours with Reza's car I felt way more comfortable driving it (than borrowing a car from friend/family) and since it's a proper driving school car I think that was an advantage at the Drive Test center. It costs a lot more if you add on the fee for use of Globe's car for the road test AFTER you buy your package. Plus your instructor will drive with you to the test center so having that extra practice with them right before the G2 test is invaluable. read more

DO NOT HIRE GLOBE DRIVING ACADEMY!!! STILL WAITING FOR IN CAR SESSIONS... My daughter had her in class sessions in mid August, had her first in-car session on September 30th (that's over a month later) AND NOW WE ARE WAITING FOR HER 2ND OF 10 IN-CAR SESSIONS and it's NOVEMBER 10. Ask yourself if you really want to have your child and yourself go through all the waiting. I have three kids and used Young Drivers before with no issues and were very reliable. I regret using Globe Driving Academy with every day that keeps on going by. Signed, So Stupid read more

The in-class sessions were not as informative as I would have liked. They should have covered more material, but yet they started late and finished earlier than the allotted time. It seems it is difficult for the school to hire teachers who are skilled at teaching (I think they probably don't get enough training) and they often encountered technical difficulties (had a substitute teacher). The classrooms were very cramped. Not having driven for a long time and being nervous, my in-car instructor Raza was very patient with me. He helped me get comfortable with driving first, which allowed to me learn the required skills later. He is able to hone in on the skills you need to work on (without yelling at you or getting angry) and repeat them until you get it right. Raza made parking seem easy - even parallel parking! Although it was difficult at the beginning to schedule lessons because of both our busy schedules, it was worth it, because he did help me pass the my driving test. He cares about his students and wants to help them succeed. read more

Waheed is the most rude and unprofessional instructor. Unwilling to teach. Took personal calls while in the car. Stay away from this instructor. Nevertheless, I would still choose the school and ask for a DIFFERENT INSTRUCTOR. read more

I had the worst experience with this school. Instead of them following up with me about the classes. I had to check with them for in car lessons. The in car lessons didn't prepare me at all for the road test. The instructor too seemed like just wanted to rush and finish the hours. Seemed more interested in the money than whether or not the student was learning. Total Scam. read more

I had an amazing experience with Globe driving Academy. Sebastian and esp Raza were very helpful and they accomodated me regardless of my tricky and very challenging situation. (One month lesson before my licence expired and booked roadtest at same month). Raza really prepped me for 3hrs before my road test and for my first road test in etobicoke, I passed! My experience with this driving school was very positive. Raza is the best instructor. Very supportive and informative. He seems to genuinely care about his students and do everything he can to make sure they get a good result. I also liked that the school was near downtown Toronto in the west end, close to my house. The lessons are very good value. The flexible schedule allows you to book as many or as few as you need and the instructor comes right to your house. Overall, I would definitely recommend this school. read more

I had Raza and he was the most patient and down to earth instructor ever. You could really tell he cares about his students.

This driving school is unprofessional and sloppy. I feel swindled out of the education I believed I was purchasing: 1.) Every class is scheduled at four hours and fifteen minutes but without exception starts twenty minutes late. 2.) My instructor spent each session telling long, meandering stories - I would sit on the edge of my seat waiting for the point that I needed to remember and write down. But it always turned out there was no point to the story. The teacher purely liked the sound of his own voice. 3.) The sessions were not thorough, and I was left feeling like I had an incomplete sense of the rules of the road because there was much knowledge about driving that was never covered. 4.) The so-called ten hours of "home-link" included in the package is actually one page of homework that takes twenty minutes. 5.) The handouts and videos in class were completely outdated and incorrect. We spent an hour and a half in class discussing a blurry black and white photo of an intersection where it was unclear/ borderline impossible to tell what was happening because of the poor quality of the image. 6.) Worst of all, the exam was riddled with spelling errors and contained many unclear questions. Globe Driving Academy stole twenty hours of my life and what has it taught me? Don't rely on Yelp reviews. read more

My experience with Globe Driving Academy was outstanding. First of all, they were one of the only places I called that answered my call, and did everything possible (thank you Joanna) to accommodate my unique situation leading up to a G2 Road Test (passed, thanks to Raza, an excellent driving instructor!). They managed to accommodate my tight timelines but still offered high-quality, valuable and relevant instruction and techniques. Joanna is patient and professional, and went above and beyond to make arrangements for an instructor and Raza, as mentioned is a skilled instructor. He is good because he is honest, strict and explains why you are making a mistake when you are. But he is also patient, friendly and professional. An overall 5-star rating - if you can be flexible with them, they will work with you and customize to your needs, like they did with me. read more

I was excited to take lessons from Globe Driving academy after reading so many great reviews. But unfortunately my driving instructor wasn't super helpful. I got a 5 hr package which included (5 hr lessons + car for exam+pick up/drop off) Which later turned out to be 4 hour lessons and the 1 hr before exam, with no pick up/drop off because I live downtown (Which would've been nice for them to mention on the website). When I first met my instructor there was another student in the car, I guess he had to finished his lesson and drive back to his drop off point. I wasn't aware my time would be shared by a student who was driving quite recklessly. 30 min later when my 'sign in' started the instructor told me I would need more than 5 hrs without asking anything else. At that point I haven't even driven yet, I told him I have 8 years driving in another country so will need some refresher here in Canada. The instructor was a nice guy but not really focused, he took a couple of phone calls and eventually booked his plane ticket to India for the winter while I drove around in circles. Lesson lasted maybe 1 hr (but was accounted for 2 counting the student in the car, my sign up time and driving around while he booked his plane ticket) Next lesson, I was driving around and again he was on his phone. I stopped at a stop sign and it was my turn to turn since the car across from me arrived later. I was about to turn, when the instructor looked up, he panicked and yelled at me. I told him that if he wasn't on his phone he would've see that the car arrived later and I had right of way. He then said "oh ok, right". Later he wanted me to drive and pick up another student because their lesson were starting soon... That day I called to complained and they told me they would give me a discount rate to switch instructors and because i've used most of my package I would have to pay extra. They apologized for their instructor's behaviour but that doesn't change the fact I still paid for lessons that wasn't very useful, with a rude instructor who was on his phone 75% of the time. I paid almost $400 for these lessons and they were going to refund $75 for the 1 hr I had left and the rental of the car for the exam. Which means I spent $300 for crappy lessons. It's been a couple of months and they have yet to refund me anything at all. I'm tired of calling and chasing them. Customer service tried to help but nothing has been resolved, it's been 4-5 months. I don't usually complain about anything but this has been a terrible experience overall. read more

I tried calling several times before I actually got somebody on the phone. I tried to book a couple of in-car lessons as well as the use of a car for a road-test. The woman on the phone told me that the prices on the website did not apply to me because I was not a student in the BDE courses (which is not specified on the website). When I asked why the website did not explicitly state that, she told me that it was stated in the Terms and Conditions. I told her that I felt misled, and the website should clearly state the conditions, then said that she did not want to "go back and forth with me" and had never had a complaint about this before. She wanted to "tell me the price" and let me "decide what to do". I told her that I did not feel comfortable dealing with this business because of the misinformation, and her unwillingness to explain (or address) the misinformation on their website. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I choose Globe Driving Academy because it is one of the best 10 driving schools in Toronto, having 4 stars reputation, and St Clair West Avenue location is near to my house. I have 3 in-car driving instructors and Raza is the best. He is professional, calm, patient, detailed-oriented and genuinely care for all his students to become safe and responsible drivers in their lives and successful in their drive tests. He doesn't chit-chat, but he constantly observes your driving and gives you constructive criticism, explains the bad consequences of your major mistakes, and guides you how to fix your problems. He warns you about Do's and Dont's in driving. I never met any in-car instructor who constantly tells you where you are wrong, warns you to remember traffic rules/laws/right of ways and apply them in daily driving especially at the busy complex controlled intersections and uncontrolled intersections. Sometimes he seems to be pushy a bit when he thinks to train you strictly, but please don't feel offended because he just makes you to get better results. He is like a Guardian Angel for his students; he books the drive test for you, his car is perfect for driving test centre standard, you just follow as he leads, and he will solve any problems that may arise. Because of Raza, I become a confident driver and pass G2 driving test today on first attempt. I will take lessons from him for G Licence also. I strongly recommend Raza as one of the best in-car driving instructors to anyone who wants to become a safe, responsible, confident and successful driver in the reasonable shortest time. Thank you very much Raza for everything that were done for all your students' success and earned Five Stars Reputation for Globe Driving Academy. Thanks to administrative staff Joanna for contacting the best instructor to me. read more

My 82 year old mother had to take the MTO road test to renew her license. After 2 failed attempts, we contacted Globe Academy for lessons specifically designed for seniors. Her instructor, Raza was very knowledgeable and aware of the critical aspects of the MTO road test. Many thanks for your support, Raza! read more

This is specifically a review for one of the driving instructors Amir. My experience with the school in general was satisfactory, but my experience with Amir was great! I found him to be a very conscientious, kind, knowledgeable and patient instructor. I am an older driver so I was a little more cautious when it came to getting behind the wheel, Amir made me feel immediately comfortable and lowered my anxiety. He is positive and has a non-critical way of instructing, he also has some great tips to help you learn better, I can parrallel park with ease thanks to Amir! I passed my test on the first try with almost no errors, in fact because of Amir it felt easy. If you are looking for a good instructor with very good skills, Amir is your man. read more

I took the G Road Test Package (~$300) with Globe Driving Academy and my instructor was Abbas. I chose Globe because the school had good Google reviews and the price was reasonable. I had 3 2hr lessons (paid $70 for an extra 2hr lesson) and 1 hr lesson before my G Road Test. Abbas was a great teacher, pointing out my bad driving habits I'd picked up that needed to be fixed before my G test. MSB! MSB! MSB!. And thank god for that, because I passed! Abbas was courteous, professional and seemed to really care that I drive well. I would recommend him to others for driving lessons! read more

The in class instructors were good and so was my son's driving instructor (Sebastian). My son turned 16 last May and we signed him up for the student package with Globe Driving Academy in June 2016. Long story, short. They do not answer their phones or respond to emails, which is incredibly frustrating. I had to chase them down to even set up the in car lessons at the beginning. We had no idea that there was a time sensitive issue with respect to completing the course. A simple telephone follow up or email would have made the world of difference. I contacted them before the cut off date for the MTO (as I heard randomly from a friend that everything had to be completed within a year - I had no idea). I sent them an email and left phone calls asking for a return call before the cut off date. Never heard from them until it was 4 days past the cut off. Too late to do anything. My son now has to repeat the whole in class lessons and 10 hours of in car lessons. I wonder if they do this on purpose to make more money? Not impressed. If you are a young driver then this is not the place for you. They won't guide you or help you achieve success. I know now for my other kids that they will go to a Young Driver's of Canada course where hopefully they are guided throughout the process. I just felt that we were left totally in the dark. Terrible customer service. Good instructors. read more

Completely disorganized. Booked an out of town test with the instructor, who was constantly late and changing bookings, and he had booked 3 other people as well. 5 of us strangers crammed in a car to and from Guelph, from toronto. When back in the city he dropped off one student only to pick up another. We were in the car for over 7 hours. He accepts cash directly, not going through the company, so the more people he can book in a day the more cash he has. I emailed the company to voice my complaint and they never responded. Poor quality, poor customer service, money hungry business. read more

The in class course was great. I had a great instructor, who made the boring material fun and was super enthusiastic. I had bad luck with my first driving instructor Rosy. She was on the phone the entire time for my first 3 lessons and then never showed up at our last lesson. My fault for not telling the school right away. They were very accommodating and placed me with Raza who is the best. He will go above and beyond to make sure you become a good driver. He genuinely cares about you being safe on the road. He taught me how to become a good driver - beyond just getting ready for the test. We drove in the snow, at night, in the rain and he gave me great tips. Make sure you notify the school right away if you get a bad instructor. Be patient with Raza's schedule - he is super busy so text him more than once and be flexible to change times. He's worth it! I would've never passed if it wasn't for him. read more

I will recommend people to try different school. Administration of this school is not promptly responding. She one day came at 10 am when class supposed to start. People had to wait outside locked out in freezing weather. When she came, she did not even apologize and emphasized that she made it on time at 10 am. Well if you are at administrative, then you should come 15 minutes early so you are prepared to welcome students and instructors rather than making them wait for outside. In car instructor also does not respond quick. I had to text her couple times to remind her to book next class and this instructor always came late, never be on time. In class instructor was fantastic, he was excellent and very helpful to understand. However, because of my experience with admin and lazy in car instructors, over all of my review is quite low. I definitely not recommend anyone to go to this school. read more
