I really like this place. The owner, Dave, is one of the barbers. All of the barbers give a good haircut, but Mike and Dave are the best. They go "old school" on the haircuts. Typical barber style cuts, until you get to the end. They shave your neck, sideburns, and around the ear with a straight razor. Warm shaving cream, a towel, and a straight razor. This place is really inexpensive. It is $17 or 18 for a regular cut. The only downside, parking behind the shop is a bit crowded. If you come on the weekend, arrive early. If you happen to get there late and it is crowded, then just park across the street (not at the funeral home, to the side on the street). read more

Born and raised in Wallington I have been getting my haircuts in Passaic my whole teen/adult life and thought that every barber shop can at least perform a decent fade...until I moved to Waldwick 2 years ago that is! I have been to at least 8 different barber shops in and around Waldwick since moving here and everyone of them was bad, some worse then others. Whether it be not knowing how to cut hair or simply not even caring. And then I found Maple Barber Shop as a last ditch effort to get a good fade before returning to my South Bergen Barber Shops. So glad I did! I have gotten my haircut by 3 different barbers there and all have taken the time and did a great job. Since then I now take my 6 year old son there and he loves it and so do I. Wouldn't go anywhere else...especially within a 15 mile radius. read more

I have been coming here for several years and have found it to be consistently great. I personally prefer to wait for Hassan, who seems to be very popular, but I've also has haircuts from Dave who is also great. The shop is clean, the service is friendly, and the quality of haircut is more than you'd normally get for such a low price point. $20/cut plus tip, cash only. Long wait on Saturdays, and they close shop for a few hours on Friday afternoons. I've been to other shops on occasion just because of time constraints, and find myself coming back to Maple because Hassan knows what he is doing. Strong recommendation! read more

I have been going here for about 4 years and I will never go to another place. Hassan is my guy who gives me a great cut! Place is really nice and clean plus it has a tv at every seat. $20 for a cut. Everyone gives a great haircut and they get you in and out. They are great with children who hate going to the barber also. read more

Went there Saturday expecting a long wait... But I was out of the salon in 30 Min.. There were at least 5 people in front of me but the wait time was only 15 min. And the hair cit was very clean and I like it a lot... To be honest the best cut since December last year for me. Will definitely go back. read more

Good service. Multiple barbers, which can make the wait less. Sometimes, however, despite this, can still wait a significant amount of time for a cut. Especially, on the weekends, it can really be a wait. But, I would say this is a sign of quality work. read more

Let me first begin to say that I am never, ever one to write reviews on Yelp. I'm your average selfish Yelp user who seeks others' advice to find the best places but never one to spend the time to write a review. My experience at this barber shop changed this - I actually signed up with Yelp so I can tell you how bad my experience was at this Barber Shop. When the man cutting my hair was using a straight edge on my sides and back, he completely sliced up my neck. After he cut me, he tried to cover it up by slathering an excessive amount of alcohol over it. He then untied the sheet from around my neck and pulled the back of my collar up over the gash in an attempt to conceal it. As I was walking out, I felt the sting of the gash and reached back to touch it only to feel that it was still bleeding. Looking in a mirror I saw that back of my collar & undershirt was covered in blood. I marched back up to the man and asked him if he could provide adequate medical aid. The other employees stepped in to assist me, as well as the manager. They apologized, gave me my money back, and also provided me with a free haircut gift certificate. The manager took some time cleaning the blood out of my shirt. The manager then apologized and told me it was the man's first day (the one who cut my hair) and that he should have been supervising him. I agreed. When I went home later, I used another mirror to view the back of my neck and gasped in shock - it was a disaster of ugly scars and scratches throughout my neck. I wish Yelp would let me upload the picture on here. Actually, I'll make it my profile picture for the time being for others to view.. enjoy. Could I have been the unlucky guy who may have just been this man's first customer? Maybe. Regardless, I would expect a place to adequately train and supervise new employees to a much higher standard. I can't say that I will be coming back here ever again.. so for those of you who rated this place highly, I can drop you off the free haircut gift certificate the next time I am in Ridgewood. read more

They have extra people cutting now, so even when it looks like a lot of people are ahead of you, the wait isn't bad (which was always the worst part of going to a barbet shop) I've probably went to each of the barbers and they're all great, my go-to is Ahmad; but, like I said, they're all great. read more
