We also didn't want to stop in the Chattanooga area again. This kind of ticked all those boxes. First thing we noticed when we got here was that this was not always a Circle K. It was completely obvious by how hastily things were put together here. They just used what was there already and replaced the major signs and slapped some paint on the exterior. Another thing that stuck out about here was the entrance. It feels like a very steep hill to get into the lot. Be careful your vehicle does not bottom out here. The lot itself is quite small, which is odd since this small lot is supposed to accommodate semis as well. Inside it was a quick pit stop for me. I made it to the facility and did my deed. Came back out to browse a bit but ultimately did not buy anything. I did notice that they used to be set to prepare food. Couldn't tell if it was a Subway type setup or what it was. Old maps show this used to be a MAPCO, so maybe that is a remnant from when it was one.

This Exxon gas stations sits right off of Interstate 24 on Cummings Highway. In the sense of a…read morebasic gas station where you can fill up and grab a snack/drink, this place has you covered, but for anything beyond that including safety, cleanliness, restrooms, ease of access, etc...you are out of luck here. I popped in on recent trip from Atlanta to Nashville and definitely wish I would have waited a few more exits. Getting in and out of this place is a nightmare and borderline dangerous. Honestly, the whole layout of the lot, gas pumps and parking spots are the same. The issues don't stop in the lot as the interior of the store is equally cramped, dirty and just not well taken care of. Gas was a decent price, competitive, but not any better than other local stations off neighboring exits. There is not much on this exit, so I get why this place stays busy...but yikes! Overall, I will plan my stops a little better next time I am headed up or down 24.

So, when I stopped at this gas station just to grab a Sprite after an appointment nearby, I HAD to respond to the delicious smell of fresh deep fried chicken. I am so glad that I did! The chicken was so flavorful, authentic deep fry style of a little crunchy on the outside and soft but hot perfectly cooked inside. And so were the potato wedges.
