They are truly redefining the dental experience--transforming what is often a dreaded visit into something that feels more like a relaxing dental spa. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the front desk team and invited to relax in a cozy waiting area complete with comfortable seating, a TV, and complimentary coffee. It was clear right away that every detail of the experience is intentional. During my first visit, Dr. Hemann took the time to really listen, ask questions, and clearly explain my diagnosis and treatment plan. Her calm and caring approach immediately put me at ease. Kirby Smiles clearly understands the common fears and pain points associated with dental visits, and they go above and beyond to make the experience as comfortable and painless as possible. My hygienist, Stacey, was amazing! She made sure I was comfortable with a blanket, a pillow, and even a selection of movies to watch during my treatment. She walked me through every step of the process and even followed up with a call the next day to check on me--something I've never experienced before. The entire team is knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaining things in a way that's easy to understand. You truly feel like they're partnering with you in your dental care. I feel so blessed to have found Kirby Smiles--and I can't recommend them highly enough.

She was not greeted when she walked in, repeatedly asked for her phone number as if they couldn't understand her, and was never even properly checked in before they immediately started asking for $75 upfront. One of the women also kept telling her to move over while assisting another patient even though she was not in anyone's way. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, dismissive, and targeted. Instead of making parents and children feel welcomed, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and hostile. She even spoke with the owner afterward because the treatment was so unacceptable. No parent should be treated that way while trying to get care for their child. Based on what I witnessed, the front desk staff seriously need customer service training or to be replaced altogether.

As a parent, especially with a child this young, I expected the dentist to take the time to clearly explain what was going on, what treatment was being recommended, and why. Instead, the entire appointment felt extremely rushed. I was told that my son has multiple cavities and that five teeth may need to be pulled, which is obviously very concerning to hear about a 2-year-old. However, I did not feel that the dentist took the time to thoroughly explain the situation, discuss the different treatment options, or help me understand what would be best for my child. When I asked questions, I felt like I was met with an attitude rather than patience and reassurance. When you're discussing potentially extracting several teeth from such a young child, parents deserve clear explanations, compassion, and the opportunity to ask questions without feeling rushed. I left the consultation feeling uncomfortable, uninformed, and disappointed with the lack of communication and bedside manner. I will definitely be seeking a second opinion before making any decisions regarding my son's dental treatment.

Are you considering taking your child to Dr. John Howe? Please allow me (an adult to tell you about…read moremy experience at Sienna Pediatric Dentistry. Why did I go to a pediatric dentist you ask? I am a big baby. But also because I had a dental emergency and his office was kind enough to see me on short notice - even though I am in my mid-30's. My emergency arose from a 4 year period of neglect. I had a broken crown and quite a few cavities. I was incredibly nervous about the visit. Let's face it - a dental visit can be more intrusive than an entire day spent at you OBGYN's office. With that said, I will share my experience with you since most of his patients can't talk let alone type yet to tell you theirs. I was there for 4.5 hours. Not waiting in the waiting room but actually in the chair getting work done. Yeah, my mouth was not in good shape... That is until Tabitha (the best and MOST THOROUGH dental assistant on the planet) got in there and did her magic. Don't worry, I will be attaching before and after pics (if I can figure out how). They're kind of embarrassing but the difference is night and day! Once Tabitha was finished cleaning my teeth, Dr. Howe stepped in to start the process of repairing my 3 cavities and fitting me for a temporary crown. I have always had sensitive teeth so they numbed me up for my cleaning as well as the dental work itself. I dread those shots... But this time I actually barely knew they were even happening! They numbed my gums prior to the injections which made it go by without a hitch, a scream, cry or even a whimper Plus Dr. Howe has a very soft touch and in general just put me at ease during the whole process. I was also able to get caught up on my Pixar animated films, which played on the ceiling during my appointment - I recommend "The Good Dinosaur". Out of 5 stars, I give this dental office and experience 6 stars.
