There's a Mexican or Spanish lady from here named Debbie supposedly a temp to hire situation was offered to me. This was more like a temp to fire situation. I don't normally drive downtown so I asked my dad for a ride to guess get drug tested. She questioned whether I had transportation to get to the job even behind my back to my job coach which it should have just been enough that I told her I did that should have been enough. Always used to telling jobs history that I have a disability I'm now being told it's oversharing my business and that jobs will openly discriminate if sharing I do. My second day I was supposedly observed of leaning on the machines I was not. Something I picked up I didn't realize was as heavy as it was so I accidentally dropped it was made a big deal of something that was easy to fix and then third day I got an over kill on 3 calls an email and a text to not return to the job. I was interviewed by Lyndzie at the Altoona office on Friday March 17 2023 for a job as an office assistant to her at the Altoona office I was there for 1 1/2 hours and she told me my availability was great and we went over the job description one by one. She showed me where i would be working and pretty much assured me the job was mine. She took both of my id"s and ask if i could come in the following week to meet everyone else because they might have me do some stuff for them. I said sure no problem. She ask if i could send her to references and i did as soon as i got home Friday afternoon. On Tuesday March 21 2023 i sent her an email asking her if she received my references and if she knew when would be a good time for me to come in a meet everyone else. As of Wednesday afternoon i stopped by the office to see if Lyndzie knew of a day she told me she had to talk to my references and would get back to me I said ok and i left. I checked my email at 3:35 that afternoon and there was a email from Lyndzie that was sent at 10:05 am that day telling me the job had been filled. Now why did she lie to me and tell me she had not talk to my reference yet? Why did she not tell me to my face the position had been filled? Why did she leed me on like i had the job? This staffing agency is a complete and total mess. The president of the company Lisa Cobelens and franchise owner is awful at returning phone calls. As well as the other staff that works there. There motto is they are away from there desk right now would you like to leave a message? 4 weeks later I'm still waiting for the phone call to be returned. Mary, Cilesste and Lauren were all very unprofessional. They sent me on an assignment sent me to the wrong location then when I was late they terminated my assignment and blocked me for no reason other than it was there own discrepancie.. it's really sad when you think about it. I was robbed through this company. Someone cashed a fraudulent check in my name and Manpower passed the cost on to me. I have been trying to reach someone who can help me, but all they do is lie about what they are going to do about it and then transfer my call keeping me in a loop. I will report to the BBB and the news if they will listen to me. This business is unethical. It's a shame and a black eye to the hard working people of Milwaukee. I hope legislation eventually shuts places like this down. read more

Been in a single long term position with Manpower almost 9 years now. In the past 9 years, I've taken on several employee's work loads after they've left the project and Manpower rewarded me by taking away the one measly week of vacation they originally offered, giving me a raise, then almost immediately cutting my hours (anywhere from 60 - 120 hours a quarter) so I bring home less than I did before the raise and no longer paying me for the 5 holidays they used to as a result of "not working enough hours to qualify". They don't have any concern or consideration for any of their temp or long term contract employees, no matter how great of an employee they may be. You could die and they'd probably celebrate the fact they can bring in someone else at a lower rate of pay and save a buck. I've contacted the local Manpower offices about temp to hire positions and they never contact me back. There is absolutely nothing good to say about this company and how it's run. read more

It was not very good to go walking in to Manpower after complications trying to apply online. I tried using Firefox and Internet Explorer, but after selecting English, I wasn't allowed in the site. I also tried using another computer at another location. The guy at the counter told me to use Chrome, and they can't help me unless I apply online. No where on their site does it say to use another browser. If you have other people you send to Manpower, they will need the Google Chrome browser to first apply, then someone will call them. The guy also kept calling Chrome a provider. It isn't. It is a browser, not an Internet Service Provider. I was offended by his suggestion to go to a library to have someone help me in going online, and filling out the forms online. I asked about the browser-- I'm not Internet illiterate. It is hard to have faith that someone cares to place you, when you can't apply and you're talked down to when you have difficulties with their site. Just saying. read more

I worked for ManpowerGroup for almost two years at a very good rate. My contract ended a month ago and still I have not received any COBRA information. I began calling to inquire, was misled by many live people on the few occasions I was able to find one and get out of the hellish IVR system. Still no resolution. I recommend bringing this matter up, if you are a Manpower associate, far before you end your contract. I am so exasperated that no help has been provided. Associates at both companies (COBRA and MANPOWER) have no training or resources on the subject matter. read more

They would NOT get one star from me if it WASN'T REQUIRED. They used to be a great company to work for back when Stephanie, Chandler, Evan, and Alex worked for the company. Now you have to basically call everyone to get through to someone about the money you are owed. I have been working with Manpower for 4 years and just this past year things have not been so great. Then I recently found out through someone else that they no longer have the carefusion contract in which I have been working since 2016. I have to pay my travel up front which includes hotel, meals, and gas plus not to mention the mileage on my car amongst other wear and tear , I have to wait for my expenses to come back and they are never on time with the reimbursement, and every time I call to inquire about it everyone from Kayla Thomas, to some rude chick name Australia acts as if the money is coming from their personal accounts. It's very frustrating and the staff is becoming very unprofesaional do the job you get paid for every week ON TIME, and you wouldn't have to worry about people calling for THEIR money. read more
