(THUMBS DOWN AND ZERO STARS FOR NANCY) Today, someone close to me was excited because they reached the number of hours to be hired into the company contracted with Manpower. He was told from the very beginning that he needed 300 hours to be hired in. Today, he reached 300 hours. He met with HR to sign the paperwork, at which point he was advised that Manpower said it was now 400 hours that he needed in order to be hired in. Given that the pay difference between being a temp and being hired in is so different, he was really looking forward to this day, thus frustrated, as no one told him about this change. He called Manpower for clarity, not yelling or being disrespectful, but obviously frustrated, and TWICE, NANCY hung up on him, straight in his face. She should be held accountable for failing to provide satisfactory customer service. These are people's livelihoods that she clearly cares nothing about. The least you could do is show empathy. I hope she one day understands that real people are on the other end of the phone with real lives and bills before she just hangs up because she doesn't want to deal with it. read more
