I am astonished by how lackluster the staff that works at the local Express is, they're rude,…read moreunprofessional, and terrible at helping their clients find fitting jobs. I went through with the interview process and took their tests but ended up with dud jobs. Their staff who help with job placement are a complete joke and outstandingly rude. At one point in time they had exposed me to COVID-19 and didn't even inform me that I was exposed and after calling me to tell me that I was let go from the job. I got that phone call telling me I was exposed to this virus by the local health department. I was severely upset and disappointed with their lack of acknowledgement of being exposed and not being able to work for 2 weeks. I would consistently call the office asking for work but wouldn't ever get a response from anyone. So, I had to call 4-5 times a day for weeks at a time to get ahold of their staff. On their job board in the office they have a prolific amount of different jobs that range from retail, warehouse, production, office, lumberyards, etc. But if you don't have a college degree or a certification you will only get warehouse work. If you ask for something other than warehouse or production they will be snide and ask you if you have qualifications to work in such jobs. Very helpful to know that when I can just go apply at target and get a retail job without the help of express. Overall, the receptionists that work there can be nice at times, and their work specialists are buffoons with headsets on. They can't be nice even if they tried to. Don't waste your time with these people.

Well that's a lie they have open positions but because you turned it down they won't let you do anything. They don't listen to you, they don't care about you at all. Your just a paycheck for them and that's it. They have no compassion. There snooty. I got a call from one of their professionals all my in boarding was done then the manager said I didn't finish my on boarding. Well I was told by one of y'all in the office it was completed. So whose right? Don't y'all communicate at all!!

The employment person of the university makes my work easy peasy. Each year around spring time I…read morecalled to get a Gardener to clean up my yard. Every year the person at the employment office reach me back the description from the year before and we edit it. within 5 to 6 hours of posting the ad I receive 6 to 10 calls from students looking for a job. that's cool. Is that where is responsible for selecting a good student. keep waiting on students. I interview about three or four of the applicants who called me. a few weeks ago I decided to hire two young men and have them split my part-time handyman work around the house. Boy am I glad! Michael is master of machinery and thinks methodically. He is a self starter. Devin is happy doing tedious, repetitive and mundane chores. Both young men are so chipper . that youthful optimism almost makes me want to puke except they are always bringing me things to make my life easier with their own initiative. I could call them anytime and tell them it's an emergency and they would be here to help me. I had such great luck with all but one student. you know how to say the right things but I stupidly believe him when he said he knew how to work with gardening tools when he literally did not know what a lawn mower, edger, barn or plum were. I'm paying him by the hour and I find him wandering around on my back acre. I sent him to get some plums from my plum tree by the barn. I asked him if he knew what a plum was and he said no. I informed him that I had told him the plums were by the barn and then I asked him to point to the bone that he was standing by but he had no idea what a bond was... Kinds of games went on all the time. he destroyed a tractor mower that had 50 hours on it. That was Western Washington University student employment fault it was my fault for believing him. don't assume people can speak English because they graduate from that school
