Tom is super nice. But the older woman (his wife?) really has an attitude problem. So rude with back hand comments. She genuinely seems pissed off at the world. I found this place via Google when I was working nearby and was headed to a house party. There were a few choices, so after some quick reading, I chose Manor Wine. I like how they have tastings on Saturdays and a Wine of the Month Club--they seemed to take their wine seriously, I figure that would increase my chances of finding something I'd like. I was a bit surprised when I walked in--it was a small shop but they made use of every possible space. I wish I had more time to explore their selection of liquor, but I was on a hunt for wine. The shop person was on the phone with a customer, so I explored the aisles myself until I found the Zinfandel section. I was very happy to see most of their zins were from California and from some of my favorite wineries from the Dry Creek Valley. Prices were very reasonable, as expected, the Ridge cost the most ($26), I was tempted to buy it, but economy won me over, so I picked up the '07 Rosenblum Vintner's Cuvée XXXII and '06 Quivira Steelhead for $13.99 each. The shop owner (?) was still on the phone when I checked out, a young lady rang me up; she looked barely old enough to drink, so I didn't bother quizzing her. read more

A lot of choice in a small space! Always solid options for whatever you are looking for at a very fair price. They have a great palate and choose the selections well and are always more than happy to help point you in the right direction. I highly recommend this place! Here's why... They have a wide and good selection of wine and hard alcohol. But the owner here is the main reason why this place is so awesome! He's very knowledgeable and honest about the wine selections! He describes the wines in question extremely detailed that it helps you pick just the right wine. Customer Beware: Their website says, "Our focus is on excellent value and personalized customer service. Our friendly staff is always happy to assist you." Well, based on my girlfriend's experience in their store very recently, I would say they need to have ALL of their employees read what they proclaim is their business mantra. Apparently this behavior goes right to the top. Does "Friendly Staff" only apply to men, perhaps? The behavior my girlfriend dealt with is completely unacceptable and I can guarantee all of you reading this, that not only will we stop patronizing this store...we recommend you do the same. The gentleman that owns this place is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have never walked into that place and not been greeted at the door. I was having a party for my best friend who just got engaged and he helped me pick out wines for our dinner and prosecco to celebrate.
