She's great about explaining concepts I don't understand and why I need to learn certain subjects to improve my playing. She is always very upbeat about my playing and gives helpful constructive criticism to improve any performance. She even helps me outside of lessons by providing me with recordings of music on request if I have trouble with a piece, or tips if I am struggling. She really goes above and beyond--lending me some music books to practice sight reading and driving them to me on her own time. Jessica is an amazing piano teacher and I highly recommend her.

Susanna is extremely patient and calm, which helps greatly with the younger kids. She is very reliable. We never had any no-shows (unlike the situation we are having with my son's drum teacher). Fantastic teacher, soooo sorry to lose her!…read more It is my bad luck that we found Silvia this late. It took me a while to convince my 10-year old daughter to take violin lessons, so we only started seriously looking for a teacher at the end of the school year. Silvia had already had plans to move away from the area, but reluctantly accepted my daughter as a student. After the very first session my daughter was hooked! It is hard to describe in a few words the honest, truly satisfied smile on the face of a 10-year old... My daughter couldn't wait to go back, and insisted that we take two sessions each week. She practiced dutifully every day and could hardly wait to show off her progress to her new teacher. She was ecstatic after less than 2 weeks when she played her violin and teacher accompanied her on piano. Silvia has the gift of magically drawing in the student's curiosity, she is also a brilliant musician, and produces results very quickly. My daughter and I are both very sad to see Silvia move away. We are practicing diligently so that we can show progress for the first Skype session, which for my daughter cannot come soon enough!

All of the teachers we've worked with have been wonderful (we've had several different teachers for each subject, since we needed to move days a couple of times). Currently we have Steve for voice and Danielle for piano, and we adore them both. Steve makes my daughter feel super comfortable (which is vital with singing, where you really have to put yourself out there. It can be so hard to get kids over that performance anxiety -- is there anything worse than embarrassment to an 11-year old?? -- but Steve's sense of humor works wonders with the kids.) And Danielle is absolutely lovely and made my daughter feel really good about her progress. The other person we interact with a lot is Brenda, who handles scheduling, appointments, payments, calls, recitals ... basically she runs the place. Not only is Brenda super organized and helpful, but she's also the nicest person you'll probably ever come across. We feel really lucky to have this school right here in Pflugerville. I hope they never move!

Austin, but also has 15 years experience performing all over Texas, and over 10 years experience teaching students full-time. *Your child will learn not only how to read music, but how to use chords to improvise. While many piano students learn some songs, and then go no further, learning how to play from chords gives a person the lifetime ability to learn songs quickly and to add creative improvisation. *Students will learn songs they love, not just songs the teacher loves. *Students will be taught to improvise and be creative in addition to learning to read music and theory. *Students will play in front of appreciative audiences, such as recitals at The Palace Theater in downtown Georgetown. *Students will learn from an enthusiastic, pro musician and experienced Elementary School Teacher who is excited about music and teaching, not from an old-fashioned piano teacher with a scowl on her face. *Friendly, positive, personalized piano and voice instruction in the Maxon Music Studio will help your child not just enjoy music as a child, but for a lifetime!
