I was so bored and miserable because he kept getting them wrong and he was wearing baggy trousers without a belt. He kept pulling up his trousers and there were some nice ladies there who had to keep looking away because his big ugly bum kept going on show. Eventually they complained and the manager had to come and ask jack to do the tricks outside in the pouring rain. The pork was on special and was barely edible - it was so chewy the majority of it got left on the plate. I had the rump steak which was very bland and poorly cooked - at £17 I would expect much better. The cider was very nicely kept and well served - Aspall's Harry Sparrow... Although it was raining today I can see how the Mayfly might be nice for a drink on a hot summer afternoon; with numerous tables on the edge of the river this pub sits in a beautiful location. The food was delicious, and the hosts friendly with good service. Highly recommend the indulgent lemon cheesecake. Well priced, good quality food with MASSIVE portions. The rooms are also wonderfully decorated with comfy beds, nice selection of teas, coffees and homemade biscuits along with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The only trouble I had is that although it is in the middle of nowhere the road is quite busy and my room was nearest it and therefore very busy. Unfortunately as we had to be up at 5am we didn't get to try their breakfast but the selection looked fantastic. Bewarned if you arrive out of pub hours, they lock up and it can take a while to get someone to open the pub and check you in!
