Apparently the mission of the La Plata County Restore is decorating (That's not for sale, it's just for decoration.) and storage (a list of about seven items they would not accept because they have too any of already.) They have too many because their things are priced far too high, some items I wanted had not even been checked for operability (I'm not purchasing something I don't know works) and no one there seemed particularly interested in selling anything, acknowledging your presence, or helping. Whoever is managing this is doing a terrible job. I'm not sure they want people to actually purchase anything.

For example, one sign states, "Although cleanliness was probably lacking, the food no doubt was well cooked." They use the term "Indian" quite a lot. I actually wonder if they purposefully don't update this museum to showcase how early archeologists thought about this place and the peoples who lived here as a meta concept. There is a small gift shop at the end and bathrooms are right down the parking lot.
