Big Cat is King of the Jungle…read more When a hairline crack in our toilet tank began leaking a small stream of water, I reached out to Greg Copas, owner of Big Cat Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. While the leak was manageable for the moment, I knew it would only get worse. Within an hour, Carmen from Big Cat followed up. After confirming it wasn't an emergency, she scheduled an estimate for two days later. To our pleasant surprise, she called the next day and said someone could come out earlier due to a cancellation. Carmen was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Greg arrived as scheduled and immediately put us at ease. Using an iPad, he showed us a range of toilet styles and prices so we could choose what worked best for our budget. We made our selection, and the installation was booked for the next business day. True to their word, the new toilet was installed promptly and without a hitch. I appreciated the transparent pricing, multiple options, quality workmanship, and their commitment to excellence. From start to finish, Big Cat exceeded expectations. Big Cat is a one-stop shop for plumbing, heating, cooling, drains, and water treatment. This locally owned business is a stellar example of the fine companies in Fremont County, and I recommend them! Like its owner, Greg Copas, Big Cat can do the heavy lifting.

I debated between 2 and 3 stars. No one answered my calls for over almost three weeks, the reason…read morewas something to the effect of the "work phone" was not working properly, something vague and unusual but I know how technology is. Then there was a $175 fee just to look at the job, Maybe I should have asked but in my experience estimates were free, especially if you went ahead with the work. I asked that he contact my renter directly, I live far out and it just simplifies things. Not only did he later that day ONLY contact me but didn't contact renter and arrived early morning unannounced. The worst part was over $400 for an hour (at most) of work (in addition to the $175) and the parts were maybe $15!

Nicholas suggested that the faucet had become clogged with sentiment and, most likely, all that was needed was to replace faucet. I purchased a new faucet and installed it and the problem was solved. I also explained that I had a frozen main drain plug and he suggested I soak it in WD40. Nicholas did not earn anything from me at that time, but I was so impressed with him and his willingness to share basic information that saved me money, I kept his contact information. I was not able to loosen the drain plug so I called him. He worked with my schedule, came over and he was able to remove the frozen plug so I could flush my water heater. It's really great to meet someone like Nicholas who puts customer service first. I can not recommend Nicholas enough.
