This little Cajun market used to have a spot in Nashville's Germantown, a modest building now occupied by a Taco Mamacita. Sadly, Music City lost a reliable purveyor of unique seafood that still lives on in Clarksville in an equally humble space. And thank heavens it does! I've been planning to visit Little's for about 10 years now to complete my experiment with fried alligator and fried frog legs. And I finally got to put their products to the test with a two-hour, round-trip drive followed by a full scale cooking test at home. I acquired the alligator meat and frog legs in the frozen section of this tiny store, items you simply cannot find in Nashville. I also couldn't resists the breaded fried clams also in the freezer. And I went home to commence an extensive culinary adventure. I leaped into Leap Day of 2024 by frying up my secret recipe for Nashville Hot Frog Legs. And thanks to Little's selling frog legs of exceptional quality, this is one of the best things I've cooked in the last five years! Juicer than chicken, good enough to win competitions, and worthy of starting my own food truck, this would have been impossible without such an impeccable product! And the best-kept secret might just be their frozen fried clams, nearly as good coming out of my deep fryer as the best versions I've had in Maine and Massachusetts! The alligator was pretty good, too. Let's just say that I'm an excellent gourmet cook, but I'm only as good as the quality of my ingredients. And Little's did not disappoint!

Heavenly smells rollin smoke outta the huge smoker with a sign that was callin to me! Head to the deli counter inside to find a case of hot-off-the-smoker meats! Big 1/4 chickens, 2" thick chops, smoked bologna! 1/2 rack o ribs for less than $10, a deli side of seafood salad, bag o chips and soda for about $15. Huge lunch (coulda fed two)! !!!Bones slide right out, nice tender, juicy ribs, great rub flavor!!!!! !!! Do yourself a favor if travelin through on 69, stop and get you some o' dis. When I came back Saturday we got the crab bites and they were very good. Had the crab legs for the second day in a row and they were still 10 out of 10. Can't wait to come back. For as popular as this place is I do think they could upgrade their tables a little. Our server on valentines afternoon was great and took care of our group of 11. Their house wines are Woodbridge which is actually under the Robert mondavi label.
