This little Cajun market used to have a spot in Nashville's Germantown, a modest building now occupied by a Taco Mamacita. Sadly, Music City lost a reliable purveyor of unique seafood that still lives on in Clarksville in an equally humble space. And thank heavens it does! I've been planning to visit Little's for about 10 years now to complete my experiment with fried alligator and fried frog legs. And I finally got to put their products to the test with a two-hour, round-trip drive followed by a full scale cooking test at home. I acquired the alligator meat and frog legs in the frozen section of this tiny store, items you simply cannot find in Nashville. I also couldn't resists the breaded fried clams also in the freezer. And I went home to commence an extensive culinary adventure. I leaped into Leap Day of 2024 by frying up my secret recipe for Nashville Hot Frog Legs. And thanks to Little's selling frog legs of exceptional quality, this is one of the best things I've cooked in the last five years! Juicer than chicken, good enough to win competitions, and worthy of starting my own food truck, this would have been impossible without such an impeccable product! And the best-kept secret might just be their frozen fried clams, nearly as good coming out of my deep fryer as the best versions I've had in Maine and Massachusetts! The alligator was pretty good, too. Let's just say that I'm an excellent gourmet cook, but I'm only as good as the quality of my ingredients. And Little's did not disappoint!

Big 1/4 chickens, 2" thick chops, smoked bologna! 1/2 rack o ribs for less than $10, a deli side of seafood salad, bag o chips and soda for about $15. Huge lunch (coulda fed two)! !!!Bones slide right out, nice tender, juicy ribs, great rub flavor!!!!! !!! Do yourself a favor if travelin through on 69, stop and get you some o' dis. We split the Harris Platter and 2 frog legs (added on). It was enough for us because we were looking to eat light, but those with more robust appetites may not be able to share. A side + hushpuppies were included so we got the Real Southern Potato Casserole. Hushpuppies were GREAT and I believe they were made in house. The shrimp, frog legs and catfish were seasoned and fried to perfection. Crab cakes were on the smaller side (after all, it is a sampler) but packed a LOT of flavor. The remoulade was a great accompaniment (and tasted like it was made in house as well). Clam strips were good overall, but we're not really 'clam' people so we're not sure what is good and what isn't. We did, however, end up eating everything on our plate so they definitely worked for us! They offer Pepsi products as well as beer and a full bar. We ordered a West Sixth IPA (brewed in Lexington), which paired nicely with our seafood. Everyone that worked there was so sweet and friendly, including our very attentive server (we don't remember her name but wish we would have so we could give her a shout out!). I was quickly waited on by the bartender/server. The staff were very friendly. I had a local craft beer, Paducah Beer Werks Irish Red, which paired well with the Made from Scratch Hush Puppies and Fried Crawfish Tails. The Homemade Remoulade for dipping was excellent. I would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The nautical theme is throughout the restaurant and I noticed a few fish tanks as well.
