Open most of the time, not great on sundays which is a pain. The staff are usually on their phones and don't seem to know their stock, but it's a newsagents at the end of the day. They have plenty of food and sweets and all the regular stuff you'd expect.

Northampton has a lovely big market square, but it is not used properly,A lot of stalls have gone…read morein recent years (since the renovation), but the occasional continental markets can be good. This is one of the oldest market squares in the country and it is not used to it's full potential. These days a lot of the stalls are quite samey - fruit and veg, mobile phones, cheap clothes and the Bric a Brac day which used to be very good is now just embarrasingly jumble sale. There is a good butcher and fishmonger who comes ocassionally though, however the days are a bit hit and miss!
