The shop itself is a newsagents and offers a very wide selection of confectionary, magazines, newspapers and stationary. However they also run a fantastic daily newspaper delivery service to the surrounding villages. We have received a daily paper from them for over 20 years. They are also friendly shopkeepers, and always welcoming when entering the shop. All in all a highly recommended service to anyone new coming into the area who wants a reliable paper delivery service.

I find it very satisfying that the shop is still there and looks pretty much as I remember it as a kid. Whilst it's changed hands a few times over the years it's still a reassuring fixture of the Kingstanding Road. These days I drop in once a month or so to buy tobacco, or some other 'essential' (is tobacco an essential?) as I pass through Kingstanding. As well as a newsagent this is also an off licence - it wasn't like that in my Granddad's day! - so, if the mood takes you, you can always pick up a beer or two for a reasonable price.

Inside, the store is clean, spacious and very well organised. Though small in size, logical organisation and lack of makeshift shelving make ensure that the store never feels cramped, and friendly staff make every visit here a pleasant one. You can order a newspaper or magazine to be delivered if you live locally, or order a magazine they dont normally stock to collect from the shop. The staff are nice, really friendly. Oh, and you can tell I dont smoke, they also sell cigarettes and lighters!

They sell a huge varity of hardware items, from nails, screws and bolts to power tools, washing lines and ironing boards. There gift range again is varied from presents ranging from 1 pounds upwards, from little magnets up to vases and clocks etc. They also sell loads of magazines, papers etc and sweets and drinks etc, which is probally their main bread and butter. The staff are great, and the gentleman whom owns the store is great and any help you need when it comes to hardware/diy problems, he is an expert and is only too happy to help. Great store, great staff and great prices.
