As a cobbler Mr. Javier takes real pride in his work. He takes the time to make things right and can rebuild a shoe completely if need be. This is a rare skills that is disappearing rapidly in our country. He brings more than 40 years of knowledge and dedicated craftsmanship. This proprietor likes to chat it up with every customer that he can entangle into long useless conversation On one of the many times, I went into the shop, (that by the way is ridiculously FILTHY) to ask about my boots. He forced me to wait upwards of 15 minutes or until the client trapped in wasting time woke up and ran away. This occurred on several occasions and every time he had some empty excuse as to why the boots where not ready. For instance, he said the boots where not ready because the cold weather did not allow the glue to dry. The boots had already been in his shop January and February 2025 I am a patient person. I taught high school kiddos. I understand the power of patience, understanding and being polite. However, at this point I just wanted the job done so that I never ever have to return to that rachet establishment. Finally, the job is done, and my boots are awful.
