Abundant ham, tasty, home made mayo, fresh French bread. Why did I take one star from their rating? The "jamon del país" is seasoned and boiled, this might have been cooked in the oven and it was missing the orange color and flavor of the seasoning on the borders. All in all a great effort.

Located in a strip mall in South Miami on 57th Ave this little Peruvian bakery has the most amazing Pavlova cakes. The have other items but I've only come for the Pavlova cakes particularly the Strawberry one but they also have one with mango or kiwi or mixed berries. The Pavlovas are always a hit at parties. The freshness of the strawberries along with the creaminess of the dulce de leche and the crispness of what I believe is wafer; it is truly magical. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They had me taste some samples while I was there waiting. Which were all delicious. It's mostly take out but they do have a small tables inside and outside. I definitely want to come back to try more items but for now I'm salivating just thinking of that delicious Pavlova. Definitely recommend Moi Bakery when in South Miami area.

Where else can you find a place that makes custom paletas with such distinct and delicious flavors! I always love being able to pick and change up my orders and have a new creation every single time I go. They're doing a cool special now where they do World Cup flavors for each of the teams. For the US they had a chocolate on chocolate with Oreo paleta and for Japan they had a strawberry shortcake paleta. Not sure how it relates to the countries themselves, maybe the flags? But they are delicious! and that's what really matters in the end.

Everything was delicious, but the sopa de res deserves a special mention ( the perfect hangover cure!! ) The young woman serving us was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. As a nice surprise, they also brought out complimentary chips topped with beans and crema, which were absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is very unassuming and comfortable--nothing fancy, just a relaxed spot focused on serving great food. There's also free parking in the shopping center lot, which is always a bonus. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Great food, great service, and great value. Highly recommend!

This used to be my go-to spot, especially for the lomo al jugo sandwich, so I ordered my usual. I was honestly shocked by how much prices have increased. The sandwich alone was $18, and a drink was $5. My significant other and I ordered the same meal, and our total came out to well over $58 for two people. That's restaurant-level pricing -- if not more. The food was just okay, nothing memorable. What really stood out was how empty the place was. There were about four staff members working the truck, yet every chair was empty at what used to be a very busy, high-volume spot. Unfortunately, the reason is clear now. At nearly $60, I don't see the value in sitting outside to eat food-truck fare when I can go to a full restaurant for the same price. This will likely be my last visit. Very disappointing

Islas Canarias Cuban Express at Dadeland Mall proved that good Cuban food can absolutely be found there. I ordered the pan con bistec, which I think is one of the best tests of any Cuban restaurant. It's a simple steak sandwich, so there's nowhere to hide. This one passed with flying colors. The steak was well-seasoned, tender, and juicy--not dry in the least. The bread had a nice crisp exterior with a soft interior, and the sandwich was packed with flavor from the first bite to the last. Being part of the Islas Canarias family, I expected quality, and they didn't disappoint. Service was quick, making it a great stop when you need a satisfying meal while shopping. If you're at Dadeland Mall and looking for something beyond the typical food court fare, this is an easy recommendation. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.
