Since I'm from out of state, I'm unaware of local rules regarding liquor. I get a cart and start putting beer and such in my cart. I hear someone scream from the front, "HEY!!" Didn't see who and didn't know it was directed at me. I kept walking. Again, "HEY!!!! YOU CANT BUY ALCOHOL AFTER 9PM!!!!!!!" I saw the guy, red faced and looking ready to explode. I chuckled and said "Nice welcome." I then walked out. Did I look like a degenerate? No, I'm 64, wearing a blue blazer and a crisp white shirt. I wonder, was there a better way for the owner to handle this situation? Maybe say, "I'm sorry sir, state law prohibits us from selling alcohol after 9pm. Come back tomorrow and we can take care of you." But, I'll never find out. Maybe the guy is going through a rough time in his life. I wish him the best.

The gas station has all the regular items like coffe, soda, food, chips, etc etc with a wall of wine. Next to the wall of wine was the amazing East Troy Soda Stop which made me do a double take and walk up to it and check it out. The wall was very impressive with the variety of craft sodas and I rarely drink soda but I'm leaving one. I left with a Point Brewery soda made with real sugar, I didn't even know Point made soda. There is so many cool varieties and I will post a few pictures to give you an idea. Yah it's a gas station and I never would have left a review but I thought the soda stop very cool and something you don't see, I can't remember seeing so many craft sodas in one place so I thought I would let the world know about it.

They have clean bathrooms - a Women's room, a Men's room, and a large family bathroom. They also offer fresh-made drinks at their cafe counter. You have to check out the Concord Zoo while you're here. It's to the right of the store across the parking lot. There was a staff member feeding the animals while we were there, and the enclosures looked pretty good from what we could see. This will definitely be our go-to rest stop the next time we drive this direction.
