One of the nicest gastronomical experiences I had in Spain. Their Lechazo(suckling lamb) is just luxurious and it is this place signature dish. It's $50.00 and it feeds two people. It was delicious and more than enough for 2. My two kids were all over it eating that very soft & tender meat. Incomes with fresh salad and onions. The crispy outer skin combined with the soft lamb meat, dipped in its own juice is just a must. It also had the IGP Identification Band(Vitola De Indicación Geográfica Protegida) it is the authenticity ticket in which certificates the Castilla and Leon origen but also the sacrificial date for people to know it is the real deal.
In addition, we ordered the $15.00 daily menu per person and that included 2 different courses, dessert, bread and wine, making it a hell of a deal.
We were six and ordered almost everything in the menu. My highlights that you can't go wrong with in this place are the cecinas( amazing cow ham), the Villafuertes morcilla, Iberian ham croquettes and the braised veal.
The place's door is kind of hidden and easy to miss. Great inside atmosphere, spacious and It is nicely located right behind the big cathedral. Not a tourist trap like the other ones I visited.
Amparo's service was as amazing as the Lechazo dish. She was very sweet to my kids and even washed my kids lollipop a few times that felt to the floor. Yes it sounds nasty but went the kid is crying and wants the floor lollipop you have to go to extreme measurements and she was the first to make sure we were comfortable.
I highly recommend this place, the Lechazo and Amparo. read more
