I went in blonde and left with dull, muddy, pink-toned hair after a keratin treatment and gloss. When I raised concerns in the salon, I was told it was just the lighting and that the redness was my skin, not my hair. once I arrived home and looked in the mirror I saw that my gut feeling was right and that simply wasn't true. I contacted the salon with photos taken on the same day (before washing my hair at all), and then a few days after a wash yet was blamed for "products used at home," despite photos proving otherwise and only using shampoo without sulfates. The gloss they had put in was clearly over-processed, and the keratin compromised the quality of my hair. I asked for a refund or resolution and was refused a refund outright. Accountability was lacking, and the issue was deflected back onto me which I found very unprofessional. If you're a brunette you may be fine, but blondes should proceed with caution.

When I arrived at the salon, the stylist Nes greeted me warmly. I asked to add an extra service, knowing it would take more time, and she was more than happy to accommodate me on short notice. The hair wash was excellent I could tell she uses high-quality products. My hair is more on the natural side, so I needed someone experienced with my texture, and she was clearly knowledgeable about a wide range of hair types. I left feeling taken care of and very satisfied with the experience. The salon was very clean very well kept. It did not smell like burning hair like most salons. It was very quiet and the background music was very clean. We had great conversations. The location is very convenient as it is in a shopping plaza that has different things from restaurants to convenient stores. Unfortunately, some businesses respond defensively or negatively to honest feedback rather than seeing it as an opportunity. That said, I was very impressed that the manager of the salon personally reached out to me and apologized for what ultimately turned out to be a misunderstanding regarding pricing. I returned to the salon, and I'm happy to say I am now a satisfied customer. I appreciate the professionalism and willingness to address the concern.

They offer all the typical services you would find at a salon -- I have had both haircuts and brow waxing at One Xi. For being located in the city, parking isn't too terrible, with paid metered parking available on the street as well as garages. But what makes any salon great are the professionals you hire, and Emily has been a diamond of a hair stylist since the very first appointment I made earlier this year in March. Very few stylists have known how to approach my hair, but Emily has a skill that can't be taught. Needless to say, my hair is in good hands when I go there for my scheduled visits.

She did not even put any products in my hair after she was done with my cut and blowout - even though I asked her few times to put a little shine serum since I was attending an event that evening. The salon itself is semi-clean. Like I said, this salon is likely a great place for young professional men who work in the city but not so great for if you're used to a high quality women's haircuts and styles.
