Upon arrival, we drove up to hotel lobby, and we were able to get our villa right away, because we didn't want to waste any time before heading out to our tee time for at their championship course. Accomodations: Every villa here is exactly the same, so there isn't much of a difference between which area you stay in the resort. The villa was a two-bedroom, two-bath, equipped for a full kitchen, and washer/dryer, which came in clutch as we got to do some laundry half way through our trip. The villa itself has that Spanish charm, and while it's a little bit on the older side, the space was very comfortable. If you had a choice, get a villa closer to the hotel lobby and spa or else you'll have to walk a good distance or drive to get there. They have an attendant that can drive you via golf cart back to your villa though. Amenities: Each section of villas have their own pools for their sections, so it's quiet and relaxing. The main pool near the hotel lobby and spa was pretty cool though. They have an indoor pool that leads out to the outdoor pool, along with a steam room and spas. The spas weren't hot tub temperature, which was a bummer but oh well. They also have tennis, a mini soccer field and basketball courts to use. A couple of restaurants on property, but since we were only there for a couple days, we didn't try them out. Service: The service we received here was great from start to finish. Everyone was very welcoming and answered all the questions we had about the property and were attentive when we needed service in our villa. The people who were working the golf pro shop and the marshalls on the course were 10/10 as well The main reason we were staying here was because we wanted to play some golf. The property has two different courses (East & West), with the East course being the easier of the two. They were doing some work on the greens on the East course (which we originally booked) but they were able to switch us to the West course. The West Course was beautiful and well manicured. The greens weren't super fast, but the bunkers were so well maintained, something I don't get a lot of back home. It's challenging enough to make you use a variety of shots in your bag, and would definitely play here again. This summer, they had a deal for $550 euros for unlimited golf for 7-days, and if I was staying here for even 5 or 6 days, I think it would be worth it, given that golf is pretty pricey on the island in general. We booked our tee time online, which is something I recommend because they had summer deals, which helped drop the price for the round, golf cart, and club rentals. We knew we were going to play, so we brought our own balls, tees, and golf gloves, but with the rental set, you they do give you a sleeve of balls. My only issue with the club rentals is that they didn't have any stiff flex clubs available to rent. I guess they only have one set of stiff flex but it wasn't already loaned out. The rest were all graphite regular, which was a bummer for anyone with faster club head speed but I still enjoyed the round without worrying about my score. Overall, a great hotel if you are looking to get away from the crowds. A fantastic hotel if all you want to do is play golf and lay by the pool.

Since this was April, the outdoor pools were closed, but the large indoor pool was open. The onsite restaurant was just so-so but we found another better restaurant nearby that was good for dinner. The vacation unit we were in had a kitchen and that came in handy for breakfast and lunch. Overall it was very similar to many of the Marriott vacation villas in the US but maybe somewhat lower quality overall.

What a stunning property in Mallorca. While in town for a wedding, the brides recommended this spot…read moreas one of their favorite hotels in the area and I can see why. First of all, the views from the main building are absolutely stunning. Think panoramic views of ocean and sand with a beautiful pool that looks like it's floating in the ocean. That alone had me obsessed, but then I saw my room. When staying you can book in the main building, or the suites located in a passageway across the street which you access underground. We booked a room in the main building and got upgraded to the ocean view which was awesome. The room was quite large, with a large separate bathroom space which had the toilet and shower in one room with a tub and sink in the entryway which was great for girls sharing a room. We were also able to add a cot to the room for an extra 125 Euro a night and even with that, the room felt spacious. There is not a lot of natural light, as the one window that we had was super small, but the stunning views made up for it. The service from the folks at the hotel was super friendly. They offer room service, a spa, breakfast every day (include with suites or a la carte with a regular room), and amazing poolside service. I also love that you can go into the ocean straight from stairs attached to the pool. I really enjoyed my stay here. If you want to splurge a little and enjoy the views and amenities this is the perfect spot. It was great to unwind here amidst some jam-packed wedding festivities.

Maricel looks like an old palace, but it was built in 1948 to look that way. Back in the day, movies stars and royalty stayed here. It closed in the 80s and then reopened in 2002 with expanded rooms. Most rooms have terraces and ocean views. There is an infinity pool, a bar and cabanas that are busy in season. You can get massages in treatment nooks overlooking the water. There is a restaurant that serves incredible breakfasts and lunches. The main spa facility also has a separate business center for retreats and events. That area accessible by tunnel is mid century modern, but the overall aesthetic is neo-classical. The staff are friendly and discreet from the front desk to the restaurant servers to the cheerful maids who do a very thorough job maintaining the rooms. You even have a pillow library to pick just the right one for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is white marble with a soaking tub and dual handheld / rain shower. We stayed in #14, one of the best on the property.

The bathroom was bigger than other entire hotel rooms. After heading up the marble stairs leading to our secluded, huge, charming room, I was continually blown away by the details and integrity of this amazing hotel. That bed? What dreams are made of. So cozy, so soft. The bedroom area had so much space, we each had what seemed like our own wing to organize our suitcases. The bathroom was literally on the other side of our entryway, through two sets of gorgeous wooden doors! A large standalone modern bathtub that fit not only myself, but also my 6'2 boyfriend. From the rain shower with the orange blossom scented bath bubbles, to the his and her slippers and hair dryer tucked inside the round hat box, I could have spent hours in the bathroom alone. But why would you? This hotel has an entire spa, IN A CAVE, in the basement. The grand prize is the salt water pool that extends into two rooms in which you can swim between. It's dotted with several shower like massage tools with different hot/cool water temperatures for the ultimate hydrotherapy experience. Beyond the way, several heated thermal spas, all different levels of heat, infrared saunas and showers. It's insane. Pictures don't do it justice. I would have spent over $100 to swim in this pool one morning, but of course, the price was included with our room. In the morning, complimentary brunch in the lush garden patio. So lush and floral. Your choice or take them all: jamon iberico and mahon queso with quince jam, homemade breads and cakes, gluten free granola, fresh squeezed orange juice and berries and soft scramble eggs with lox and capers, nothing was forgotten. I promise to return to this beautiful island one day and you can bet I'll be spending a week at this beautiful hotel.

Of course, from the minute we arrived at the St. Regis, those concerns were put to rest. It was paradise in paradise, sunny days in the mid eighties. We were promptly greeted by one of the hosts while a porter tended to our luggage. Seated on the beautiful wrap around terrace, we answered a few check in questions with our host and were treated to a welcome cocktail and snacks. At this early hour, our room was not ready so we just took a short walk to grab some lunch in Porto Portals. They had called us by the time we were finished and let us know everything was all set for us. And let me tell you, we were all set. Upgraded to a top floor suite with a killer beach and pool view in an enormous room that lacked nothing. The porter arrived as we did and explained a few things about the resort and provided some know how to all the switches and thoughtful touches of our suite. Our suite had an excellent designers touch to it, with impressive decor and paintings of some of Palma's famous sites. There was no shortage of storage space in the entry hallway/dressing room. Bathroom was all marble, complete with double sinks, soaking tub, shower and separate toilet/bidet room that was even accessible from the entrance lobby. Full office desk with any kind supply or outlet you may need. There were chairs and a chase to relax in next to the mini bar up front by the windows in the lounge area. The bed itself was very comfy and I loved the ergonomic pillows that we found in the closet, slept like a baby. The balcony patio was another nice place to hang out and take in the view from the table or chase. Service was impeccable and the flawless way that everyone spoke Spanish and English made me ashamed to not be multilingual. We got hooked up with a nice breakfast rate and were very pleased with the buffet. I typically stuck to what was local and stuffed myself on chorizo, jamon, the fantastic oranges of the area and the sinfully good ensaimada. Staff got us set up with chairs and towels by the pool and helped out with the brellie for my fair skinned lady. I was also happy that even the valets were quick with taxis and spoke Spanish to our drivers to avoid any misunderstandings. We had a splendid stay here and an impeccable meal at Es Fum (attached a photo of the menu). The St. Regis didn't miss a beat. I also learned a few things about the St. Regis and Majorca in general: -Started by John Jacob Astor -A commitment to technology which was clear with all of the outlets, lights and switches and full keypads on both sides of the bed (very thoughtful) that controlled everything from the lights to the ceiling fan and drapes -Known for the Butler service which we wised up to use to book tables for our dinner reservations, you'll need them if you want a decent table anywhere -The oranges on Majorca are as good as you'll ever eat -The train to Soller was a bunch of fun -There are a lot of Germans on Majorca and I was constantly high fived in my Deutschland kit by other supporters of the 2014 World Cup Champions -Bros don't stay at the St. Regis, thankfully

Built during the 14th century, a lot of the beauty has been preserved, especially in the windmill and chapel on site! The chapel is beautiful for a wedding people! She provided many suggestions for things we needed. Things included In your wedding price: chapel, cocktail area, cocktail tables and covers, ceremony chairs and covers with flower and ribbon decoration, altar flowers, cocktail table flowers. We also opted for a small cocktail hour for our 10 guest which we had more than enough food and drinks for! It was perfect! For photography, you will find many beautiful opportunities on site and off for pictures. The hotel itself. I say a 3, but I'm so annoyed that it wasn't better it's like a 2. I literally felt like it was just a normal vacAtion. There was nothing personalized about my hotel stay from The staff. No one gave a crap we were paying to have a wedding there. The note in the room was impersonal and I had friends stay at other places that got more welcoming experiences. I would never stay at this hotel again. I've had better experiences with other hotel chains and other Hilton's, which is why we have a timeshare through them but I wouldn't come back to this site to actually stay, just maybe visit the site.

At night when the sun is down you do not walk the roads. The roads around are narrow. And dark. That being said - it is absolutely fabulous! The reception when you arrive is five stars alone. Rooms are supernice. The rooms in the main building do not have a balcony - with the exception for a few that are located facing the church one storey up. I am not sure which room types are there, but you share outdoor patio. If you want a private terrace or patio you should absolutely make reservations for those room types - they look great. They are located close to the pool so there might be traffic from other guests. But these units look great as well! There are no fridges or minibars on the room (at least not in the deluxe rooms in the main building). What might be an issue is the fact that you are pretty much left for doing all the eating and drinking on site - which might be on the pricey side. We were never disappointed on the food though. The sushi night was one of the high lights - we did it twice under our 2 weeks stay. The dining areas are both very beautiful. Or just have a drink. They arrange Friday nights under the mill - you get the impression first drink is free, but it is not. Still the drinks are perfect! Try a gin & tonic with lavender or rose tonic. There is a track for jogging around the hotel area which was perfect. They have tennis courts - just borrow equipment at the front desk. Also, you can find like ten balls around the court. The staff is super - friendly, helpful and professional. A cool feature is that there are buttons for service both on tables in the yard and by the pool. Spa is nice - when you think it is too hot outside it is perfectly cool indoors. make reservations for treatments. Judith made my toenails - and she was the best! Oh I want to go back when I think of it! Cons - It might not be the perfect place for younger guests. You are left for the activities on site. Teenagers might go mad of boredom. Also we found it a bit annoying always having to plan for a day by the pool - beds are reserved or taken at breakfast. Even if you get there late in the afternoon it is often full. There are not enough umbrellas or cabanas. They accept AMEX.
